#MeetTheTeam ... This is Garry, Lead Carpenter/ Construction Manager & Passive House Tradesperson Garry is Mike’s (the BWC Founder) father, and although he originally hails from Ontario, he now calls the West Coast home. Garry comes with years of valuable experience and of course the family connection and that passion for building. For 40 years Garry ran a successful home building and renovation company in the Muskokas, and now in semi-retirement, helps his son and mentors the crew, spreading his knowledge and expertise down to the next generation. Gary is also one of five the Certified Passive House Tradespersons on our team!

It's official! We received our plaque for our Clark Road Passive House project last Friday! What a way to end the week and go into a new week. We knew the building was going to certify but receiving and mounting the plaque was definitely a significant milestone for us as a team. Designing and building a certified Passive House has been a goal of the BWC Founder, Mike, ever since he was introduced to the building standard about 6 years ago. He was able to ignite the same passi...on for high performance building in his entire team and it has certainly shown throughout this build. There is some serious pride across the BWC team at the moment but especially those that were directly involved with the design and construction of this home. We were lucky enough to build the first certified project in Squamish, and we hope that it’s just the first of many to come. Nice work team and congrats to our clients on their beautiful new home. On to the next one!
