We were pleased to help out with a big tree move this week! The pin oak from the Arthur Kemp Garden needed to be moved for the new Ag Tech Learning Hub construction. With our air blade (compressed air spade - like hydrovac except dry & without the vacuum), we joined a team of arborists, hoe operators, and front end loader operators to excavate soil, expose the roots of the tree, move and plant it in a new location. We are crossing our fingers that this transplant is a success. It was certainly a good learning experience. A huge thank you to Charlene Scott for the photos.
