The Ogden Funeral Home family and staff have spent a number of days reviewing our approach to caring for the families in our Scarborough community. We are also reviewing our practices and procedures to best cope with and help slow down the spread of COVID-19. As an essential service, a business that is vital for the day to day life, we will be here. We will continue to offer Funeral Services to our community and provide guidance and assistance to those in need. To accomplish ...this safely, we are implementing a number of temporary guidelines. We would ask that an appointment be made prior to coming into the funeral home and that no more than 2 family members attend the meeting. Many parts of the arrangement process can be completed over the phone and by email. We request that you keep a safe "social distance" from our staff and others. In Accordance with protocols from Government agencies and subject to change at any time, as of June 13, 2020 the number of people allowed to attend an indoor funeral ceremony or visitation is a maximum of 30% of our room capacity. We can accommodate up to 25 people in attendance at one time. Please contact the funeral home to confirm number of attendees permitted in accordance to our different room options. A funeral service is usually a public gathering to express our feelings, memories and beliefs about the death of someone we loved. Given the current circumstances, this may not be possible. We are offering complimentary live streaming of the funeral for family and friends who prefer not to or cannot attend. Also, we welcome your condolences for our families on our website. Our family and staff will be here to assist you through this difficult time after losing a loved one.
