FRIENDS...I have a big ask...for the last few months I have been working in our school district at ALP...Alternate Learning Program whose students are at risk ...youth trying to stay in school. The staff at this school have a dream of a fleet of bikes (preferably with front suspension) that the students can use for field trips, exercise and accessing this amazing place we live in. I am looking for donations of 10 bikes... if the bikes need work... no problem... teachers here are willing and able to incorporate bike maintenance into the curriculum and give the kids a tangible life & job skill. If you have something lying around please PM me... These kids have really touched my heart and I'd be so grateful for anything we could do to open opportunities to these kids in our community. At home bike tire repair. You can do this at home! Use a cheese grater to prep the patch, cut up an old piece of tube but DO NOT use the hose to spray your tire to clean off the glue. Doop ! You can see what happens. I think I’ll be rubbing tire while I bbq
