You will be responsible for all aspects of installing insulation products according to work, manufacturer, quality, and safety guidelines. This includes loose fill insulation, soffit venting, and blocking as necessary per each unique project. You will need to complete vehicle safety and job site inspections, as well as troubleshooting and some preventative maintenance on the equipment to ensure projects remain on schedule. You will be responsible loading and managing materials required for each job. Position required you to be able to Climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, and stand to perform daily work and ladder climbing, as needed and be able to lift 50 lbs. Of course, a valid drivers licence is a must. Clean drivers abstract and clean criminal records check a bonus as well. As you will be directly interacting with customers, good customer service skills are an asset. Ability to problem-solve minor on-site issues or problems, answer customer questions related to the work occurring on their property, and reliability are key assets as well. Check out this super informative and educational post for @egnitesustainability #Repost @egnitesustainability Fun fact about basement insulation: Did you know that finished basements typically account for around 20% of a home's overall heat loss?... These photos are of a recent home we assessed that had an uninsulated 1,000sf basement. An average height of 2.5 feet of the concrete foundation wall was exposed above grade. The thermal imaging photos speak volumes to the amount of heat loss attributed to uninsulated basement. A staggering 48% of this homes total heat loss is attributed to the basement alone! In this renovation upgrade assessment, we recommended to the homeowners a strategy to properly air seal and insulate their basement which would save them an estimated 34 Gigajoules per year. That adds up to around $120 a year in utility savings and $1,200 in insulation upgrade rebates.
