From a bridge player who attends most games: I wanted to thank you for your incredible effort in trying to keep the afternoon of bridge continuing. Without you and this day of bridge I would not be playing like I am or even that interested in the whole duplicate bridge world. I’m excited to announce a new game of a Newcomer (0-20 Masterpoints) and 299er (0-300 Masterpoints) sections in Southwest Calgary, Friday afternoons beginning August 2, 12:00 pm! The location is the St. Andrews Centre, 1-10601 Southport Rd, at MacLeod Trail, across from Moxies Bar & Grill. Players in the Newcomer section learning to play and enjoy duplicate bridge will have a relaxed time introducing themselves and meeting others at the beginning of each round. Explanati...ons will be given of any irregularities. Less hands will be played to ensure you have time to bid and play your hand. This is a 3-month trial (Aug 2, 9, 23, 30, Sept 13, 20, 27, Oct 4, 11, 18) to determine interest. If there are sufficient numbers I will start a new Club under it’s own banner. Looking forward to starting up this new game and seeing you there!
