Sweet little Turbo has been quite a handful! She wants to give a HUGE shoutout to Darlene Archibald who donated towards her vet care and some supplies we got turbo a bed, some pee pads, kitten food, a new litter box, toys, and some special vitamins. She has to be expressed by hand and so we felt special UTI focussed vitamins might help her. That all being said we are already beginning to run low on some supplies. We are in need of more raw pumpkin, wet kitten food, and pee... pads. If anyone would like to sponsor Turbo for the next week for $25.00 it would mean the world to us Etransfers can be sent to [email protected] Password: Cats2019 **for Turbo in the notes** #specialneeds #specialkitty

We need your help! Poor Norman and Garfield have taken us for quite a spin. These poor boys are not doing well and we are still trying to get Garfield in to see the vet again. We need some help with our vet bills. Every little bit helps

One Paw At A Time Animal Rescue 21.10.2020

Just a reminder that while Squirt and Cyrus are not yet available for adoption - these three little cuties will be vetted in the 23rd and ready for new homes!

One Paw At A Time Animal Rescue 19.09.2020

Here is one of our fluffy critters, Steve!!! The LIONHEAD bunny! Steve is looking for a new forever home! If you’re interested send us a message!... In his first home Steve was an outdoor rabbit - although contrary to his fuzzy looks he should not be left outside year round, especially in northern Ontario. He currently resides in Thunder Bay, but we are open to the idea of travel if it’s the right home and they are serious about adoption. He is still unsure on being picked up/handled but with time and patience he will get better. He does enjoy head pats though, and is learning to use the litter box. He has been vaccinated/treated but is NOT neutered, and so we are looking for a home with no females - it appears he does well with other males - but ultimately he deserves a home of his own where he can be spoiled He requires brushing due to his breed/coat, and a diet which includes hay, fruits/veggies, and pellets. Note that lionhead a can live on average from 7-10 years. He is a long term commitment Approx: 4.5 months Adoption fee: $40

One Paw At A Time Animal Rescue 13.09.2020

Poor Norman has not been feeling well! his neuter incision got an internal infection our fosters only caught because he was refusing to eat and was throwing up. Luckily the vet told us we caught it before it went septic. He has been given some long acting antibiotics and is on bed rest ..... but things haven’t ended there. This morning his poor buddy Garfield is now presenting the same symptoms. We have been directed to call tomorrow morning to get an emergency spot.... Please keep him in your thoughts! Anyone interested in donating towards their vet bill can apply it directly to our account at Crossroads Vet clinic under One Paw at a Time - you can even say it’s for Norman and Garfield Or you can send an etransfer to [email protected] Password: Cats2019 Hang in there boys!

Look into my eyes - look - are you looking? You are feeling sleepy - very sleeeeepy Just another SPOTLIGHT SUNDAY post slipping in! Raggs here to remind you of just how cute I am! I definitely have the puss in boots eyes on lock I’m a good boy, I love snuggles, and I love my scratcher. I’m litter trained and alright with dogs - but would prefer a quieter environment. My girlfriend LouLou and I are looking for a new home - could it be with you? We come fully vacci...nated and fixed at approx 4.5 years old. We are currently located in Thunder Bay but can be transported if it’s the right family Adoption fee $250 for the pair pls share! See more

One Paw At A Time Animal Rescue 07.08.2020

LouLou & Raggs This loving pair is still patiently waiting for the right furever home. While they are a tad skiddish around quick movements and loud noises, they just LOVE to snuggle. They will even crawl right into your arms and purr into you ear These two would thrive in a quiet home with say - a retired couple - however a home with children is okay - older or a single child preferred. They have no interest in getting outside but love to laze in a sunny window. They are... a bonded pair so they must be adopted and stay together - they need each other to survive and live happily. The pair is approx 4.5 years old. Both are vaccinated and fixed. Unfortunately due to an accident with Raggs’ tail they have been in care for longer than we would have liked. Raggs lost the end of his tail in a lazyboy chair, but after surgery and some time to heal he is all better and ready to find his new home with LouLou. Could it be with you? pls share! See more

Just over a year ago now we brought in our first international rescue dog Cherry was a dog from Lebanon who had been shot in the face multiple times and was blinded. She was no longer considered an adoptable dog from the same society who took away her vision and put holes in her beautiful face. Her rescuer Zena Ja'far reached out to me and although it took a lot of time, planning, and quick thinking, Cherry was brought to us with the help of another amazing rescue Rescue ...DOGS from Lebanon-CANADA. Cherry was adopted before her paws even reached Canadian soil she had stolen the heart of Francesca Vasanelli! Where she is now treated like the queen she truly deserves to be. It’s been a year.... and with Hero passing ..... and covid.. the itch is there. While we suffer here in Canada because of covid, other countries such as Lebanon where the animals were worse off prior..... can barely stand a chance now. It’s time I call on all my fellow international rescuers! Pls stand with me ... as I try again .... everyone ... meet Gypsy!!! My next project#bringgypsytocanada See more

Hey everyone! Recently we’ve gotten a lot of new followers! I just wanted to let everyone know we are in the process of updating our page - we do have a few kittens that will be available for adoption within the next week or two - we have a bonded pair available for adoption as well as Seppy (single male) and Oreo, (single female). We also have 3 male bunnies that are all looking for homes. if you have any questions pls feel free to comment or message - we are a small re...scue with one admin and a few fosters/volunteers so I will try my best to answer everyone in a timely fashion. We are currently looking for some supplies - anyone with kitty litter - or wet/dry kitten food it is greatly appreciated. Anyone looking to donate towards our vet bill it is also greatly appreciated at this time - we have a remaining bill of 214.70 at the humane society that we need to pay off as well as a remainer at Crossroads - with three more kittens going for vaccinations next week donations can be applied directly to our account at Crossroads Vet clinic under One Paw at a Time or can be sent to [email protected] Password: Cats2019 We are so grateful for all the donations we have gotten recently especially during these uncertain times. An appreciation post will be coming up shortly as well as an adoption post! we hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend! Lots of love, The One Paw Crew

Chloe and Sandy are sad.... they haven’t gotten an inquiry for some time ... you can check out their folder in the albums posted! These two are quite the catch! Both good with dogs and other cats - approx 4 months old - vaccinated and treated - soon to be neutered/spayed - playful - litter trained - this sibling pair came into care from a farm and after much time and patience have become socialized and friendly. They are vocal and really just want love and attention - a family home with children 4+ would be great **they are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together**

BUNNIES, BUNNIES, BUNNIES!!! Rocky, Stanley, & Steve are still looking for their forever homes! If your looking for a bunny one these guys could be your man! ... They came into care from a rather poor and unmonitored environment and are just looking for someone to love and teach them what a life indoors has to offer. All boys have been vaccinated/treated - but none are neutered (if this surgery is needed we can discuss getting this done) Adoption fees are $50 - both Stanley and Rocky have been around children (Steve likely would do okay as well just hasn’t been tested) and all three are good around dogs See more

With his rockstar hair (business in the front and party in the back) and sweet demeanour, Rocky would be the perfect companion for anyone. -male -1 year & 1... month old -vaccinated/treated - NOT neutered -kid friendly -a special bunny who is missing the majority of his nose and has other wounds due to rabbit bites. He has come from bit of a rough life - left to live outside where he had to fend for himself, among many other bunnies, for carrots, and chicken feed. Unfortunately the result when many buns are packed into one space and forced to fight for territory and food.... are cases like Rockstar - injuries consistent with bite wounds (confirmed by the vet), including a large wound on his foot - and a missing nose. But his past hasn’t phased him - Rocky is the sweetest, most gentle bunny. He loves head pats and snuggles and to explore his new indoor surroundings, climbing up and over things, and picking up toys and throwing them. He doesn’t get upset when he is having his dressings & wounds cleaned and seems to be alright with kids! Overall, he is looking for a patient home that will continue to teach him he is safe and loved Pls keep in mind that bunnies can live approx 7-10 years and are a life long commitment just as a cat or a dog. Rockstar is also a lionhead rabbit which requires some grooming in terms of brushing to avoid matts.

Chloe & sandy -Female/male -Bonded pair must be adopted together -vaccinated and will be fixed ... -approx 14 weeks old Chloe and Sandy are a bonded pair of kittens that were brought to us from a farm near the border. They have adjusted well since being in care but really rely on each other for companionship and comfort so we are looking to keep them together and find them a home. Chloe is female and Sandy is a male - they are vaccinated and treated but are still a tad young to be fixed yet. This will be a clause in their adoption - a date will be set and there will be a small additional fee as outlined. Any out of town adoption this surgery must be completed prior to going to their new home. Both kittens are playful and friendly. They are good with other cats - as they had another mate who was adopted - and are good with dogs.

September is Puppy Mill Awareness Month. Every day adult dogs as well as puppies suffer at the hands of these puppy mill facilities. PLEASE do not buy your pup...pies off online groups such as Kijiji. You could be supporting the suffering of these dogs as well as lining the pockets of these animal abusers. With COVID19, many people opted for this being a good time to welcome a new dog into their home. This also being a great time to line the pockets of scum bags like this and those importing dogs for profit. If you chose to buy vs adopt, PLEASE do your homework. Be smart. Be educated. Be aware. #STOPPUPPYMILLSINCANADA https://www.breakingthechainfilm.com/ See more

Meet these little cuddle bugs. Loulou, the female, aside from being a gorgeous petite kitty, is an affectionate snuggler who will crawl right into your arms fo...r attention. She is starting to love playing and has a real sweet toothoften devouring her treats quickly and then running to scoop up Ragg’s treats as well. She is the more adventurous one of the two. Raggs, on the other hand, though shy, can not resist a scratch. He is a very affectionate cat and often comes running to check on Loulou if he hears her meow. He himself is a very quiet cat. Because they are both skittish to movements and noise, and because neither likes to be held (though both will happily crawl into your lap) these cats would thrive in a quiet homewith a single person or couple, and are not recommended for a family with multiple or young kids. They get along fine with calm dogs. See more
