The Department of Earth Sciences seeks a postdoctoral scholar hire in the field of Earth and Environmental Sciences. We will consider applicants from a broad range of disciplines in the geosciences (e.g., biogeochemistry, remote sensing, geochemistry, earth system modeling, surficial geology, hydrogeology, oceanography, etc.), but are particularly interested in candidates that will actively engage in scholarship that is synergistic with Arctic and Polar research initiatives l...ed by a growing cohort of scientists at UNH. Graduate Research Assistant (PhD) Announcement The Sustainable Water Resources Research Group at Clemson University investigates watershed processes at different spatial and temporal scales using field measurement techniques, laboratory studies and computational tools. The group is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join the group in Fall 2021 to work on research related to big... data (water quality/quantity), watershed analytics, machine learning applications, nutrient management in urban and rural watersheds, BMP modeling and optimization, and climate change issues. Candidate should have interests and experience in watershed modeling. Programming experience in R and/or Python, and large dataset management in programs such as WRDB is a plus. Preferred candidates should have a strong desire to pursue interdisciplinary research. The candidate should have leadership skills, should be highly motivated, work independently, manage time effectively, eager to learn project management skills and should have strong work ethics. The ideal candidate will have a MS degree in agricultural or environmental or civil engineering, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
