I take a LOT of photos. Typically investing in at least a new hard drive for each year so that I can keep all my images safely backed up and stored. Towards the end of each year, I end up with a collection of photos from previous years that I have revisited over the year, for one reason or another. Sometimes it's a couple who finally want to order their wedding prints, sometimes it's families wanting more re-prints from a past session. Sometimes it's me wanting to revisit pas...t session to re-edit and approach my perspective. This is one of those. I took this photo in San Francisco almost 5 years ago. I had an opportunity to meet some incredible people of whom I'm happy to say I creep on a regular basis to watch as their photography grows and changes over the years. I deem it important to be thankful for photo sessions that push my boundries and challange a new perspective. We always feel honoured when families welcome us into their lives during multi-day weddings. Each day having significant meaning through rituals, ceremonies and celebrations. Krystal and Manni's wedding was the perfect combination of tradition-meets-modern-Chic. Gosh that pink wedding dress!!! What an incredible celebration for such a wonderful couple.

It's all about the Yin and Yang. Just like Vancouver's unique balance between elegant city life combined with outdoor healthy living, these two are such a complimentary couple. It seems perfect that they would choose downtown Vancouver for their engagement session. It's always inspiring to see couples who embrace each other's passions and hobbies. I love that both the weight set AND the knitting addiction made their way into this session.

Marrying your best friend is like nothing else. This engagement session was every bit of fun and laughter with these two. We started out at VanDusen Botanical Garden, a sentimental spot as this was where Manni popped the big question. Then it was off to Granville Island for a cheers with a special glass of brew as these two celebrated into the sunset! ... Can't wait to see these two share "I Do's" next month!!

For these dapper gentlemen, the day began with a trip to Sugar Skull Studio for the perfect trim. A relaxing start to such an important day for these two. Then off to West Point Grey Community Centre for an intimate ceremony. Not a dry eye in the house as they shared emotional vows in front of family and friends. Such a beautiful union. Starting out with a quick visit to Mink a Chocolate Cafe downtown Vancouver for a warm drink is an amazing way to start out a photo session. As the sun set, the lights of Gastown come alive to set the romantic mood.

Nestled within the majestic mountains of Kelowna, Becky and Kevin celebrated an intimate ceremony with family and friends. Absolutely amazing to see the beautiful bride wearing denim and custom boots. Sharing vows underneath a weeping willow, there wasn't a dry eye when the groom removed his hat to kiss his bride. With the bridesmaids wearing matching boots, the groomsmen wearing matching hats, this wedding party was certainly ready to celebrate in proper country style.

There's something about outdoor weddings that just feel amazing. Sunshine and a warm breeze were what greeted Jennifer and Reid as they exchanged vows in front of friends and family.
