Walk-in-the-Park (Tudhope) Dec 11, 2020 With nice mild weather, 38 participants were able to have a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk throughout Tudhope Park. Friends of the canine variety helped lead the walkers along the way. $598 was raised for the Orillia Sharing Place wich was greatly appreciated.
It is with regret that the Orillia Curling Club board of directors has canceled curling for the 2020-2021 season. After surveying our membership twice, the majority of members concerned about their health during this pandemic, indicated that they would not be curling. We will be planning for a new season of curling starting in October 2021. Check the Orillia Curling Club website for an announcement next August.
Unfortunately, the Orillia Curling Club has decided to cancel fall curling, October to December, 2020, due to pandemic concerns. Club members are being surveyed to get an indication of those wanting to curl the winter session, January - March, 2021. Please check our website in November for more information. ... Dear OCC Members, Barnfield Point Recreation Facility, ie curling rink, is being opened for members to remove their gear from their locker. Access to building will be to the left of the main entrance and be monitored by club members. Hand sanitizers will be provided and members should bring a mask and wear it when entering the building. Social distancing is required when lining up.... Dates are: Friday, June 19, 11am - 2pm, and Tuesday, June 23, 10am - 1pm. If you are unable to attend either date, your locker contents will be left alone and locks will be left on. At least 3 club members are needed to be present, one outside and two inside to direct traffic. I am asking for your help in volunteering for a 1 hour shift to assist me in making this run smoothly. If you can help me, please call 705 325 8508 and I will draw up a list of volunteers for each day. Joe Fecht
Curling is cancelled for the season. Stay healthy everyone.
With the rapidly evolving situation, the remainder of the curling season is cancelled effective immediately. The board of directors is taking this action as an abundance of caution. We hope you understand the reasons for this precautionary measure.... If you have a locker, please take the opportunity to remove your belongings over this week. Stay healthy and hope to see everyone next curling season. Joe Fecht, President
