Shared with us from Carley Scharf who is the Rural CDF Facilitator with NROCRC "Hi Osgoode! As most of you know I work for NROCRC doing community development. Although I'm having a ton of fun organizing and running virtual events right now that isn't the only thing that my job requires me to do! My job with NROCRC means I connect neighbours, reduce isolation, remove barriers and encourage community residents to make Osgoode a better place to live and contribute to the communi...ty. Together the Stakeholder table (which is a combination of community groups and service providers) and the Youth Advisory Committee (in partnership with the O-YA Osgoode Youth Association) have created a seasonal community newsletter. This newsletter came out of a need identified by the community about a lack of communication, particularly for parts of the senior community who are not here on Facebook with us. There are printed copies of this newsletter at Foodland, Raymonds, Osgoode Pharmacy Ltd.. and the Dowd Retirement Apartments, if you know of someone who could use a paper copy please let them know! Thank you so much to Councillor George Darouze for purchasing an ad package to make the printing of this much needed service possible!"
If you haven’t received a flu shot, Ottawa Public Health is holding a drop in clinic at the Osgoode Community Centre from 11:30am to 4pm today. It’s first come, first served basis. #TeamDarouze
