The OCC team was up early to meet up in our CrEATe kitchen & cheer our Chef on! He was on CTV morning Live to present a generous food donation on behalf of the Ottawa Convention Centre to the Bell Media Thanks For Giving Food Drive. Well done, Chef!

Guess who will be featured on LIVE television tomorrow morning? None other than our own Chef Geoffrey Morden. Chef will be the OCC representative interviewed by host Melissa Lamb on CTV Morning Live to present a generous donation to the Bell Media Thanks For Giving Food Drive.... A total of 400 lbs of various frozen and dry goods will be donated, anything from Belgian waffles to chicken wings to ice cream to Sheppard’s pies. These donations have an immeasurable impact on the less fortunate and we are very proud to be in a position to give back to the communities where we live and work. Do not miss Chef Morden’s segment, this Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. on CTV News.

This is the wonderful food our Chef prepared for @Canada2020 guests as they are waiting for keynote speaker Hillary Clinton to take the stage!

We are proud to have Hillary Clinton, former U.S. Secretary of State, in our facility today. She will be the keynote speaker at a luncheon hosted by @Canada2020 followed by a Q&A period.

The majority of our culinary team work in a climate controlled area (10C) specifically designed to promote food safety & safe food handling. Brrrrr. Hot chocolate optional.

The amount of blood available for patients across the country is at its lowest level since 2008 and will soon have less than three days worth of blood available to supply to medical facilities for their patients. Canadian Blood Services has information on how and where to donate at its website, blood.ca and by phone at 1-888-2 DONATE.

If a conference is expected to attract more women than men, a clever series of locking pocket doors can be opened and closed, turning part of the men's washroom temporarily into an extension of the ladies' loo. Now that is well-thought design!
