This Wednesday, December 12 Senegalese Jollof rice/Thiebou Dieune (pronounced chebu jen) will be available. If you have not tried it yet or have been waiting to order again then this Wednesday is your chance to enjoy this wonderful fish dish! My review:... I am not a fish girl the closest I come to ordering fish is fish and chips or a tuna sandwich. But the Thiebou Dieune has me saying, "I'll order that with some extra parsley mix on the side, please." Yep, Ms. Bridgette's Africa Slow Food has done it again. Even in Ms. Bridgette's absence the restaurant is holding true to her ideals. So, the Thiebou Dieune comes with a piece of King Fish with pockets of a nice spicey parsley mix cooked in a tamarind sauce, accompanied with the famous Senegalese Jollof rice (I call it the fun rice) and mix of vegetables: carrots, cabbage, cassava and squash. Check out the pictures and see what I really thought about the King Fish. Ladi Emmanuel
Fusion Chef Opportunity!! Do you desire to show off your culinary fusion skills without the huge start-up costs? Must be competent in fusion creation, have a sense of business, work with their marketing manager Ladi Emmanuel, collaborate with the owners and if interested become a member of the co-op since the restaurant is a co-operative entity.
