We all had a fantastic summer program with lots of fun with Ms. Andrea, Ms. Dilani, Ms. Sonali, Madame Marianne and Rawan Youssef in our class. Marianne our new French Teacher got an opportunity to work and get to know the Casa children during summer. Toddler classes also enjoyed their water play, drumming session with Jody and fun time with their teachers Ms. Delma, Ms. Sindhu, Ms. Sonali, Ms. Maira, Ms. Shaima and Ms. Raj and our assistant Tiana Young who helped the teache...rs in the toddler class and will continue to work as a co-op student with OCMC from September 15th to January 15, 2020. Infant Class has a new ECE teacher Bushra who returned after maternity and currently replacing Crystal who is on maternity and will be re joining OCMC as of April 6th, 2020.

Today is the day: Graduating Casa Class of 2019. I have seen most of these children since they were in infant class, including my daughter. Coming to an end of another wonderful year. Children in full swing are getting ready for their summer concert and graduation ceremony. Good bye to Nensi and Petrou family who have been a part of OCMC community for the last 9/ 10 yrs. Good bye to our French teacher Madame Cornelia who is retiring after being with us for 12 years. ... Congratulations and goodbye to Crystal(our infant teacher) and Pinkey(toddler teacher) who are going away on maternity. Good bye to all the graduates who are moving on to the next chapter in their life and wishing everyone summer filled with fun.

Hello Everyone, In light of recent development... all the OCDSB, other school board and Montessori school closure in the Ottawa area and for the safety of the children and my staff, OCMC will be closed tomorrow. I have been monitoring weather forecast and have been in communication with the City of Ottawa, Ottawa Police over the course of the day. Given the large accumulation of snow, near zero visibility and concerns about the road safety, I recognise that the travel during... the morning peak hours will be hazardous and should be avoided. School will resume at its regular hour 7.30am on Thursday Feb 14th. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Rashmi Singh

Hello Everyone, Due to the impending weather condition forecasted by the Environment Canada for tomorrow there is chance that school may remain closed but the decision will be made tomorrow morning at 5.30am depending on the condition of the roads and all. Friday December 14, 2018 was our Christmas Concert. The future generation of Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir and Degas decorated the room with their art.

This is Wyatt a student in Casa 1.He is very passionate and interested in the Culture area of Casa classroom. Here he is seen making the Canada map and naming provinces out of slime which was also his Show and Tell at school.It is amazing to see how children absorb all work done at school and with such creativity .

Today is Diwali festival of food, fun and gifts and as a multicultural school children learn about different cultures and Mrs Poonam explained to children what it actually means so if your child comes home today and talk about it you know where it came from.

Mrs. Poonam celebrated Diwali with Casa 1 children today. Diwali is a Hindu festival of lights, which is celebrated every autumn in the northern hemisphere. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance."
