Doctor Recruitment and Retention The Municipality of Chester (MOC) in partnership with Our Health Centre and supported by Communities, Culture and Heritage Nova Scotia recently launched a collaborative physician attraction and retention program branded Love Where You Work, which represents the shared goal to improve health services throughout the Municipality, supporting quality of life and economic development in local communities and surrounding areas. The attraction and retention of professional staff to a community is critical if it is to remain vibrant and self-sufficient and to sustain itself into the future, reported Heather Hennigar, MOC’s Community Economic Development Officer. Lyrical yet raw, grim yet humorous, the play beautifully expresses ugly truths: isolation, stigma, and the longing for self-esteem and community understanding. Integrating movement into Kane’s poetic text, Artistic Director, Kathy France, leads a talented cast of notable Maritime-based performers such as Margaret Legere and Rebecca Wolfe. ...Following each performance, audience members are invited to join the cast and community wellness partners for a post-show conversation addressing issues of mental health, identity and inclusion. This event (performance and conversation) runs 90 minutes without an intermission. Performances will take place following COVID-19 protocols.
