TO VENDORS AT SUMMER SUNDAY MARKET Sundays 10 am to 4 pm, June 30 to Sept 1, 2019 Grass area across the main road from the library: As our B.C. Indigenous art business is booked at North Shore First Nations events during the next two week-ends, please note the following reminder.... As the market is self-directed, you can simply go ahead and set up on Sundays as outlined below. Vendor set-up and payment procedure: 1. Set up your own display on a first come first serve basis (up to 10' by 10' - e.g. canopy or umbrella, tables, chairs, etc.). Spaces are not reserved or booked in advance. 2. Those who arrive early should set up in available corner spots or next to someone who has already set up in a corner, and so forth - as it provides the best layout scenario for proper spacing throughout the area. 3. Please ensure that you leave sufficient space between the booths as vendors often have tables at both the front and sides of their canopies. 4. Pay for your rented vendor space by giving $10 to the cashier at the Union Steamship Marina Gift shop (from 10 am onwards). 5. Usual market hours are 10 am to 4 pm, but you can maintain your display for a longer period if you wish. Our sales of Native artworks were good at our first market event last Sunday - with purchases made by both visitors and islanders. As expected during the Summer season, there was a steady stream of ferry foot passengers, and I encourage our local entrepreneurs to take advantage of this excellent retail location at the entrance to our island.

The market is located on the lawn by the boardwalk and the Union Steamship Company, directly across the library situated on the main road. The Sunday market is a casual venue with a simple, self-directed vendor set-up and payment procedure, as follows:... 1. Set up your own display on a first come first serve basis (up to 10' by 10' - e.g. canopy or umbrella, tables, chairs, etc.) in any available space, leaving sufficient surrounding space for other vendors. 2. Pay for your rented vendor space by giving $10 to the cashier at the Union Steamship Marina Gift shop. A receipt is provided. 3. Usual market hours are 10 am to 4pm, but you can maintain your display for a longer period if you wish. It is a relaxing and very enjoyable experience for everyone right at the doorstep of our island community - an opportunity to show Bowen's creative and unique local colour to neighbours and visitors alike!
