Wow! Beefsteak fungi... incredible and showing just why it is called beefsteak. Tried a bit as it is edible but can't say I really appreciated the sour flavour. I have identified the other fungi as Shaggy Parasol which is edible but may cause gastric upsets, so not trying that and False Chanterelle which are said to be edible but my book says can cause hallucinations, in some cases, so staying clear of them as well. What a day! Learnt so much and had such a great time on the Fungal Foray with Dr Tony Leech. It was a real privilege to spend the day with him. If you are wondering about getting a tutor for your primary school aged child and you live within 15 miles of Sandringham, give me a call. I recently had the joy of working with three boys before they start school in London. This was what their mum said: ''Hannah did a marvellous job tutoring our three sons. Each of the children were at different ages and stages and of course different abilities and temperaments. Hannah managed to connect with each of them, access where they were at and provided detailed class plans to assist their individual progress.
