We all know the expression "practice makes perfect", and further "perfect practice makes perfect". Unfortunately, perfection often feels too far in the future, or even unattainable. The TRUTH is; practice makes PERMANENT. This is true for when things are done very well, or not so well... By merely helping the horse spend less time being crooked, unbalanced, tense, out of rythm, e.t.c. we can immediately begin tipping the scale towards positive progress. I so often see rider...s not using all the tools they already have. Repeat the details when it's good until it becomes a habit. Be aware to not unintentionally practice the undesirable. Then watch your practice become a permanent, fluid, solid skill. This is a picture of faith. When we started the Dahlias and Dressage branch of the business it was to be a straightforward wholesale supplier. The thought was that MAYBE in a few years we could manage direct sales but that was far on the horizon. Until COVID. Then at a time when everyone was nervous about their business and the future our amazing community and clients worked with us to find ways to get the flowers out into your homes. You called, messaged, planned and... drove to keep up going and we couldn't be more grateful. There's so much talk about 2020 being so horrible, and I'm definitely not discounting that, yet I find myself more grateful than ever this year. It's impossible to list everything here but: I'm blessed to have amazing parents , 2 wonderful children and a family I adore. I'm blessed beyond measure with a farmily of staff, clients, customers and volunteers that have rallied, donated, shopped REALLY local, tirelessly contributed hours of help and lifted my spiri...ts daily during the trials of this crazy year. I'm blessed with an incredibly thoughtful group of friends and neighbours that checked on us frequently and made sure we still felt close, apart. I'm blessed to have a job that's enjoyable and fulfilling with these incredible creatures who are so blissfully oblivious there's a pandemic. These blessings fill me even more than turkey dinner and I wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING

If you look carefully at the bees on the sunflower you can see that their little pollen baskets are full . That's how they carry it back to the hive and they are really enjoying the sunflower patch this year.
