I’ve had a couple questions about why the rear crossmember, well a 20gallon tank will weight close to 120lbs plus 30lbs for the tank. C10 frames flex and twist a TON, but aluminum doesn’t flex and twist much, especially on welded corners, so the crossmember is designed to triangulate the mounting and hopefully reduce a lot of the twisting that goes on with these frames, unless your frame is either boxed or a porterbuild or GSI backhalf, then those are stiff as it is. #overkillcustomsfab #madeincanada #aluminumfueltank #6373c10

Finished up the air ride on this sweet C10, just in time for winter storage

I guess it’s a little overkill for a simple bed mount/ crossmember for an F100, but it was fun to build

I’ve been accused I don’t charge enough, this was definitely a reality check for me.

Another fuel tank ready to get packaged up and shipped. This one is notched to clear a factory crossmember on a 47-54 Chevy 3100. Usually that crossmember is removed but this owner kept his in place so we made the tank fit around it. Raised the bed floor 7-3/8 on an OBS Chevy and for the first one I’ve done I think it turned out pretty good, almost no filler required. I also made him new bed mounts to accommodate the raised floor.

Mazda B2200 chassis cruisin right along!

Even with building my own chassis, I’m also tackling raising the bed floor in an OBS Chevy. It’s a bit of a head scratcher on how to make it all still look stock, but I think I got it. Time to prep for welding.

The 55-56 Ford F100 has 4 running board brackets, 3 the same and one that holds the battery, which hangs 1-1/2 lower than the rest. This makes it impossible to lay the running boards on the ground, so to fix the problem I whipped one up to match the other 3!

Completely custom one off rear bell crank suspension for an F100 I’m working on. So far so good!

One of the most important parts of an aftermarket tank is a baffle. The more baffles there is, the less the fuel will slosh all over the place, which can be hard on a welded joint of an aftermarket tank. We use a minimum of 3 baffles, and in most cases 5.

Here we go again! Right from one job to the next!

The last time I drove the hoe was from the street into my garage to start tearing it down. I’ve put so much work into this that I’m a little sad to see it go, but I’m happy Brad can carry on with what he wants to do to it. I’m FINALLY going to start on my own chassis for my Mazda. It’s been a long time coming!

I built this aluminum fuel tank for a @roadstershop spec chassis via LS Fabrication. The customer decided to powdercoat it to match the chassis and I’m pretty stoked about how it turned out!
