Tonight's route: We will be leaving the firehall at 5:15pm and heading to Discovery Foods then to Lambeth on to Regent and then Salmon Point road. We will then head to the end of York Road and proceed to Vaughn, Enquist, Forfar and Brent Roads. We will then head to Terrain, Croydon, Wimbledon, Lewis, King and finally Glenmore. We will post updates as to where we are as we go.
With the help of Discovery Foods were pleased to present The Bread of Life Food Bank with a cheque for $4600.00 and all the food collected at our food hamper drive last Saturday.
Thank you to our amazing community for their support of our very successful Food Hamper Drive today! We had teams at Oyster River Discovery Foods and Courtenay Country Market collecting donations. In addition to the tremendous amount of groceries and cash collected, Discovery Foods donated an entire pallet of non-perishable food. Martin Park Drive residents organized a drive-by pick up of hamper items and many groceries and over $1000 were donated by their community. This year we collected more food than ever before and over $4500! Heartfelt thank you’s to everyone who contributed to our efforts today and special acknowledgment to Oyster River Discovery Foods and Courtenay Country Market for allowing to us to collect donations at their stores today.
We are at Oyster River Discovery Foods and Courtenay Country Market today from 10-4 for our annual food hamper drive. All donations will go to the Bread of Life Food Bank. Come out and help us support our great community
We will be having our annual Christmas Hamper Drive at the Oyster River Discovery Foods and Courtenay Country Market on Saturday December 5th from 10am-4pm. All donations will go to support the Bread of Life Food Bank. If you can’t make it Saturday you can drop off donations at the fire hall anytime. Come out and help us support our great community.
Thank you for all who took advantage of this program and FireSmarted their yards. The chipper broke down today but is back to work, if your branches don't get done today the chipper will finish up on Thursday.
Today we were pleased to recognize the residents of Martin Park Drive as a FireSmart Community. They are being proactive to help make their community resilient to a wildfire should one happen. If this is something your community is interested in, contact FireSmart BC or your local fire department. #FireSmartBC #FireSmartCanada
