To all conference attendees, After much anticipation, we have officially uploaded PacificMUN's final closing ceremonies video to end off years of excellence, hard work, and perseverance. Ever since its inception, PacificMUN was founded to challenge the established norms of the MUN community. On behalf of my Secretariat team, I would like to thank all our conference attendees as they helped make PacificMUN 2020 the most memorable iteration to date. Even though PacificMUN 202...0 will be PacificMUN's final iteration, I sincerely hope each delegate and staff member gained something valuable from attending our conference. Moreover, I am confident every one of you will embody PacificMUN's motto: Dare to Speak. This motto has influenced the way I approach life, and I hope this message will do the same. After much awaited anticipation, the PacificMUN Secretariat team is honoured to present our Keynote Speaker for our conference: Dr. Yves Tiberghien. Yves Tiberghien (Ph.D. Stanford University, 2002 and Harvard Academy Scholar 2006) is a Professor of Political Science, Faculty Associate in the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs, Director Emeritus of the Institute of Asian Research, Co-Director of the Center for Japanese Research, and Executive Director of the China Co...uncil at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Yves is currently a visiting professor at Tokyo University and at Sciences Po Paris. Yves is also a Distinguished Fellow at the Asia-Pacific Foundation of Canada. He serves as the International Steering Committee Member representing Canada at Pacific Trade and Development Conference (PAFTAD). In November 2017, he was made a Chevalier de l’ordre national du mérite by the French President. In 2014-2016, Yves served as Co-Director of the Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs (MPPGA), which he founded as Chair of the UBC Public Policy Curriculum Committee in 2014. He has held visiting positions at National Chengchi University, and the Jakarta School of Public Policy. Yves’ research specializes in East Asian comparative political economy, international political economy, and global economic and environmental governance, with an empirical focus on China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and Europe. In 2007, he published Entrepreneurial States: Reforming Corporate Governance in France, Japan, and Korea. His Keynote speech, titled Navigating an Age of Great Disruptions in World Politics, will unpack key trends behind the transition of the global order, with a focus on the United States, China, Europe, the recouping of Eurasia and Africa, and climate chang
