Introducing our cast- Zachary Smithers Zach Smithers is a graduate of the Canadore Theatre Program as well as a co-founder of Paper Bag Productions. He has always had a passion for acting and has had the pleasure of performing with various theatre groups including Rep 21,North Road Theatre, J2 Productions, GTG and Watershed Shakespeare Collective... Zach made his professional acting debut as Sheamus in The Unplugging Other theatre roles include Quincy Morris in Dracula, ...Orlando in As You Like It, Paris in Romeo and Juliet, Johnny Rotten in Vicious Circles, Ronald Reagan in The Passion Play, Andy in Passage (Voted Best of Fringe), various characters including Samuel Lount and Ventriloquist in The Farmers Revolt and most recently as Clinton in 321 with Paper Bag Productions. Introducing our cast- Liam Culhane Liam Culhane first caught the acting bug while watching Jim Carrey rip a heart out of a mans chest. Since then he has acted in numerous plays and short films. Liam attended Widdifeild Secondary School where he earned his Specials High Skills Major in Arts and Culture. From there he went to Canadore College we he earned an Advanced Diploma for Theatre Arts. He is currently in his second year of the Digital Cinematography program at Canadore. ...In 2014 Liam co-founded Paper Bag Productions with Zachary Smithers with the goal of making quality Theatre and Short Films. Introducing our cast... Robert Leitner has felt a need to do theatre since he first took step into drama class. This is Roberts first time acting with Paper Bag Productions, and has acted with other companies such as Bird on Stage Productions, Mustard Seed Productions, and Gateway Theatre Guild. Some of Roberts acting credits include Prince Karl Trefaldi in The Crazy Locomotive, Martin Bletcher in Colours in the Storm, Bill Flueric in Now Youre Acting!, Judas in "Godspell," and various roles in 1837: The Farmers Revolt. Robert is very excited to direct the upcoming NTS Ontario Drama Festival show, Chocolate Milk and a Jam Jam as well! Robert has had a great time with working with Zach and Liam and hope to continue to work with them further!!

Maureen Cassidy Maureen is a professional stage and television actor and has appeared in over a hundred national & international television commercials. Directorial credits include 3..2..1, Nunsense, Waiting for the Parade, Laundry and Bourbon, Hope Op, Curved, Vicious Circles, Twelve and co-direction of Slam. Her original, one-woman play, Eighteen Degrees (...North Bay & SpringWorks Festival, Stratford) centre on her recent and harrowing real life experiences. Other acting credits include Matilda in Zastrozzi (Paper Bag Productions, North Bay), Mother Abbess in Romeo & Juliet (Watershed Shakespeare Festival, North Bay), Second Witch in Macbeth (OTEFF, North Bay), Gonerill in King Lear (Watershed North Bay & Theatre Passe Muraille, Toronto), Ms. Fischer in A Picasso (Word Toast Transport, North Bay), Sheila in An Inspector Calls (Sudbury Theatre Centre), Lulu in The Lulu Project (Equity Showcase Theatre). She has adjudicated and created acting workshops across Ontario for both the International Thespian and the Sears & NTS Drama Festivals. Maureen has been part of the Theatre Arts faculty at Canadore College since 2007 teaching modern and contemporary scene study, on-camera acting, Shakespeare, and commercial auditioning. She has performed in several shows over the past two and a half years, including Ruth/Winifred/Ensemble in Rick Salutin's '1837; Farmer's Revolt', April in Stephanie Kast's 'The Bonds That Hold Us', Jo/JFK/Nixon in Joshua Bainbridge's 'Barefoot on the Moon', Amanda/Teresa/Ensemble in Stephen Schwartz an...d Nina Faso's 'Working', Helena in William Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', Jill in George F. Walker's 'Tough!' and Julia in George F. Walker' 'Zastrozzi'. She also had a small part as Deanne on on TVO's 'Hard Rock Medical' and a small part in a independent film called 'Extracurricular'. As well as acting, she has experience as a stage manager from productions of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula', William Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet', Maureen Cassidy's one-woman show '18 Degrees' and Jon Robin Baitz's 'Other Desert Cities'. Our amazing friends over at @gatewaytheatreguild are holding auditions for their upcoming show Our Town. Auditions for Our Town Nov. 17, 19 and 20th. Auditions will be held in the Widdifield Secondary School theatre on November 17 from 10:00am -1:00pm, and November 19th and 20th from 6:00 - 9:00pm. ... Auditions will be approximately 10 15 minutes in length. Scenes/sides will be provided to interested persons upon signing up for an audition time.
