PCC Past President Bruce Farr wrote this article for EMS Matters 10 years ago. It explores the impact of the H1N1 pandemic on frontline responders all of which is familiar and relevant as we deal with #COVID19 in 2020. https://www.oapc.ca//05/The-Realities-of-H1N1-EMS-Matters. #ParamedicServicesWeek #psweek

Shout out to Melody Motors in Melfort, Saskatchewan! "General Manager / Owner Ken Madraga of Melody Motors Melfort, our local Ford dealer, donating a box of safety shields to our paramedics. The safety shields are built by Ford and are Health Canada approved. We truly appreciate the amazing contributions of Ken and his team to keeping our team safe. The continued support of Melody Motors to our ambulance service, personnel, and community is invaluable. Thank you Ken and Team."

On behalf of the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada, we want to extend our deepest sympathies to the families, co-workers and friends of the victims in the senseless tragedy that occurred in Nova Scotia. We share in your grief. The risks that first responders take each and every day reminds us of our vulnerability and the nobility of all public safety profession professionals.
