You’re welcome to come in once a customer has left. You can pay by cash or check or e-tranfer. I’m excited to see everyone again and please take care!
FREE MASKS AVAILABLE! On 11AM -Friday, April 24 Location: Paris Custom Tailors, 750 Beaverbrook Street Hi all! we own a small tailor shop and have spent hours making another 200+ masks. Although they are fabric masks, there is a waterproof filter built in to protect against the transmission of the virus through coughing. For further sanitary purposes, each mask is placed in a plastic bag. They‘re also reusable and washer friendly. ... This will unfortunately be our last batch, we have ran out of fabric to make these masks. Take care everyone xx
Thank you everyone for your lovely messages and donations. We’ve had an incredible experience making these masks and giving back to the community. My family and I feel very fortunate to have been sponsored to immigrate to Canada back in 2002 by L.A. Collection. When we first opened our small tailor shop, I barely spoke a word of English. Thanks to the patience and acceptance of the neighbourhood I live in, I was able to provide my family with a better life. Therefore, I will ...be donating all your generous gifts/donations to those in Vietnam, who are unfortunately not given the same opportunities or financial support we have especially during COVID. Thanks again, and I hope everyone who was able to get a mask enjoys them :) Take care, Paris Custom Tailors

Hôm nay cng vì con Covid-19 mà phi c lên TV ca Canada! Today I went live on CTV News and showed how to make masks from your own home.
You can download a printable pattern here: https://www.dropbox.com/s//FacemaskPrintablePattern-v02.pd A special thank you to the genius behind the mask template, Phil Navoa, we appreciate you making a PDF out of our pattern for others to use
I was on CTV this morning to demonstrate how to make a mask! There are two types of masks for different skill levels, below is a link to my quick 4 minute video on how to make both :) https://youtu.be/rchOibQuwuI You can download a printable pattern here: https://www.dropbox.com/s//FacemaskPrintablePattern-v02.pd... A special thank you to the genius behind the mask template, Phil Navoa, we appreciate you making a PDF out of our pattern for others to use Note: Although I don’t use this fabric for the masks I’ve given out, these are just easy materials you can find around the house since most fabrics are sold out everywhere in the city. While watching the video, here are specific steps to making the harder mask that requires sewing: 1. Cut 4 pieces out based on the pattern. 2. Then sew 2 pieces of fabric together (by hand or machine), you will be sewing the curve side. Repeat with the other 2 fabrics. 3. Once you sew the 4 fabrics into 2 separate combined pieces, you will now put them together by sewing the top and bottom of each together. 4. Once you finishing sewing, flip it inside out and you’ll have a mask! 5. For the finishing touches, you will need 2 pieces of elastic (7 inches long you can use cotton t-shirt, hair ties, stretchy fabric, etc.) to put on the sides. Take your mask and fold the sides/edge by 1 inch, take .5 of that inch and fold inward to create the pocket/hole for the elastic, sew this together. Lastly, sketch side together. Then you’re all done! Take care, Paris Custom Tailors
Hi everyone, Hope y’all are staying safe and healthy! We’re currently maxed out on orders for this week. The first batch of orders will be going to healthcare workers and seniors in the community, and I’ll hopefully have more ready for pickup around Friday (please bring your ID# when the time comes). Due to the large volume of PM, we were unfortunately not able to reply to everyone. My wife and I will take a little break after this week to rest, but hopefully we can continue ...this project and provide more with free masks during this difficult time. We would also like to say thank you for all your support. We haven’t been able to reply to all the FB comments yet but reading them has warmed our hearts and kept us inspired, thank you again! Take care, Paris Custom Tailors
Updates: 1. The incident from this morning has been resolved. We got a kind letter from the person apologizing to my daughter and we understand that it’s a difficult time for everyone. Thank you to the person who reached out! 2. As for inquiries about donations, we’ve been accepting the ones put in our mailbox. We really love reading your letters and appreciate your generosity. I hope what we are doing can inspire others to help out too!... 3. As for the PM and orders, we’re taking a break right now and will try to get to the messages tomorrow. There are hundreds and this will take us quite some time. My daughter and her best friend, Erika (who’s been an amazing volunteer) is still finishing up her final semester and will help organize pick-ups later this week. Thank you everyone again, take care! - Paris Custom Tailors
Hi everyone, My wife and I have been quite overwhelmed with all the responses and support from the community. We had no idea our little project would reach so many people and really underestimated the crowd. We apologized for that and to those who weren’t able to get a mask today. Going forward, we will now try our best to set up orders with a designated time for pick-up (maximum 2 masks per household). Send us a message and we’ll put your name down for a mask and give you a... #ID to provide us when you pick-up; it will take us quite some time to reply as we’ve gotten so many requests in the last 2 days. Since we’re now taking orders, production will be twice as long. I was able to make 250 in 5 days with my wife’s help but with the new system, we will unfortunately only have about 100-150 masks each week available. Please be patient and take care in the mean time! I also posted a photo of the pattern for anyone who wants to try to make a mask. I also made a YouTube video of the process: https://youtu.be/-ODX-SFfm7M All the best, Paris Custom Tailors
