I am pro- native plants and would like to poi tout there are many sprig flowers that are native the pollinators can enjoy. Dandelions are not the answer to that but they are also not the enemy this nature conquering society has made them out to be. Get to know the plants on your soil. What are they telling you? When you find use for all the plants you will have no weeds... let me introduce Dandelion: Hello, I'm a dandelion. A lot of people call me a weed but I'm a friend a...nd have come to help you! . When you see me, remember that I'm the ONLY one who wants and can grow in that particular spot. Because: . Either the soil is too compact / hard / stomped and I want to loosen it for you with my roots. . Or there is too little calcium in the soil - don't worry, I will replenish that for you with the dying of my leaves. . Or the soil is too acidic. But I will also improve that for you if you give me the chance. Or a mixture of the above reasons, of course. . I'm here because your soil needs my help so best you let me grow without disturbing me! When everything is fixed, I will disappear again, I promise! . Are you trying to remove me prematurely with my root? However meticulous you are, I will return 2x as strong! Just until your soil is improved. . You can even tell by my growth at which stage my help is at. If my leaves are flat on the ground then I'm far from ready but if they all reach up then I'm already a long way on my way. . During the day when it's hot, I open my flowers but in the evening when it cools off I close them again quickly. In fact, if it's not hot enough during the day I won't open them at all! . My flowers are even delicious for you people by the way, did you know? I used to be called honey (or gold) of the poor because my flowers are so sweet in e.g. jam, sauce or salad! The internet is full of recipes - check them out. But wait until the end of May or later before you start picking and even then, don't pick everything yet! The biodiversity and bees will be very grateful! Paula Kok - De Boer

What are your favourite violet recipes? I'm pretty simple and add them to salads, cold and warm drinks, and once in a while I'll put the extra effort into making some candied violets or syrup. I'm working towards a lawn of clover, violets, chickweed, and other edibles that are both beautiful and comfortable on our bare toes! #letearthteach #naturetherapy #violets #abundance #naturewalk #foresttherapy #letnatureteach #planttherapy #wildcrafting #wildedibles #ediblelawns #foodnotlawns #forage #gardenfinds #forestfood

A weed is a plant not valued where it grows. Start building relationships with each plant you find that arrives in your space. Identify it and search edibility and uses for the plant both as a picked herb and as a companion in the garden. Finding value in every plant that finds its way to your property and you will have no weeds. You will begin to see mulch, food, nitrogen fixers, pest derterents, pollinators, holding soil and water, and food for others beings in your ecosys...tem. Just think, what if we got rid of all the auto mechanics? Or bakers? It would be a lot more work for us to figure out how to manage on our own. All this dead nettle can be used for food, medicine, or just as mulch in my garden. She is a welcomed ally. #esttheweeds #naturetherapy #deadnettle # mulch #nitrogenfixer #fertilizer #pollinators #natives #weedsaregood #notaweed #value #gratitude #abundance

"We give thanks to Air, the breath of life that flows through our lungs at every moment, carrying the oxygen-rich gift of the Plant Beings. We give thanks to the Winds, breath of our Earth Mother, that stir the trees and the oceans and the clouds, lifting birds and carrying pollen, dust, rain, freshness and inspiration. We offer gratitude for flower-fragrant breezes, forest-scented winds, ocean-smelling winds, winds from snow-capped mountains. The wind that tangles our hair a...nd cools our faces. We give thanks to the great currents of air that swirl and circle our world, giving us seasons, changing the weather, stirring up trouble, stirring awareness and hope and action. We recognize with deep sobriety the extent to which we humans have altered the nature of our Air and thus our Earth’s atmosphere and climate. For this we ask forgiveness of Air and of all the beings who breathe her. We ask Air to clear our vision, so we may see the way forward. We have been buffeted into awareness by massive weather shifts, and we’ve been guided and warned by the women and men of science who have drawn for us the lines of connection between our actions and climate change. May we accept this awareness with gratitude and give our full attention to those who are leading the way back toward sanity and balance. May we meet all the weather changes with courage and love and compassion for all the beings who suffer from them. May we steer a wise course toward changing our ways so we are part of restoring the balance, in the Air and in our world. May we find guidance from all of our elders: the trees and plants, the insects and animals, the clouds and rocks and waters who all are joining us in every moment in praise for the gifts of Air."

Earth doesn't need humans to save it. If we continue on the nature-conquering, consuming, disconnect from the nature world path that we are on we will see the world become a place where humans cannot survive. When we pollute the waters, the air, and the soil and the Earth is no longer sustainable for humans we will become extinct. Along with us we will bring many species and have already seen the extinction of species in our time. Once we are gone, the Earth will work in harmony to rebalance the system for new life to flourish. We don't need to save the planet, we need to same humanity.

"When the earth is ravaged and the animals are dying, a new tribe of people shall come unto the earth from many colors, classes, creeds and who by their actions and deeds shall make the earth green again. They will be known as the Warriors of the Rainbow"

I challenge you to take some time this weekend to set aside 40 min distraction free time to focus your attention on this video. Really listen and reflect on it. Are you going to continue to listen to the nature conquering, colonialist, consumerism, market driven, world view or are you going to start listening to those who are still connected to their ancestral roots within the natural world on how to live for future generations and humanity to survive? #letearthteach #abunda...nce #listen #nature #naturetherapy #letnatureteach #elderwisdom #elderspeak #prophecy #savehumans #savehumanity #makechange #breaktime #prioritize #nextgeneration #nativeamerican https://youtu.be/BXvTc-BFluw
