Hello everyone! We thought since we’d been so quiet on social media throughout these past uncertain months, we’d update everyone on what’s been going on behind the scenes here at Parker’s Barn. As the situation emerged and evolved with Covid-19, we worked around the clock to accommodate and reschedule the 2020 weddings of those couples who reached out to us. We’ve also been working diligently on making improvements and repairs to the barn and surrounding property so that when... our season fully resumes, we’re ready, better than ever, to host your special events. Now that restrictions are easing, we want to assure both our current and potential couples that WE ARE OPEN, following all public health guidelines, for viewings and events. We will NOT be postponing or cancelling anyone’s event unless we are told by the couple to do so. We strongly encourage any of our 2020 couples who haven’t already done so to contact us to discuss options for hosting or postponing their 2020 wedding. On that note, we have just recently had two 2021 dates open up - August 14 and September 18. As well, we have begun booking for 2022 already! We would love to chat with you and show you around (at an acceptable physical distance!) if you are interested in having your wedding at Parker’s Barn, and look forward to meeting or reconnecting with you all. We greatly appreciate all of the kindness, support, and patience all of our couples have shown us throughout this unprecedented time. These pictures simply don’t do this beautiful wedding justice! Although the rain forced Jenna and Kerry’s ceremony inside, there was still plenty of fall colour and tons of sparkle to celebrate in seasonal style! The bride and her entourage were busy all week and get all the decor credit this time around.

It was certainly cold outside this weekend, but (sort of) warm and (definitely) cozy inside the barn for Mary Jean and Jeff’s wedding reception! The bride herself described her decor as ‘elegant rustic’ and I couldn’t have said it better myself! Beautiful deep purple was set against white linens and drapery, with burlap and wooden accents to bring the rustic together with the elegant! A few pretty things were left for future couples to enjoy - details in the pictures!

We’ve all heard the saying less is more, and there was certainly beauty in the simplicity of Trevor and Wanda’s wedding decor! This outdoorsy couple incorporated many wooden elements and lanterns to create a natural, casual ambience for their day. Keep your eye out for the emerging fall colours in the outside pictures!

The shining sun was a great complement to Kirstin and Matt’s barn bling wedding theme! A family friend made beautiful floral arrangements in sparkly vases, and both Final Touch Party Rentals and Country Mamma’s Rentals provided twinkling decor throughout the barn. Andy Martell catered a barbecue feast along with late-night snacks, and the ever-awesome Foxy Entertainment provided music and a neat personalization for the happy couple. Another gorgeous fall wedding is in the books!

Are you a fan of Harry Potter? Confession: I am not. So please bear with me as I try to find to find the wit to do Jenna and Barry’s Hogwart’s-inspired wedding justice! This couple waved their wands and worked some major wizardry on the barn, with so much attention to detail. The always amazing Heather Cameron Thomson worked her drapery magic, and an antique chaise from Something Borrowed Vintage Rentals added to the mystical ambiance.

A wedding that will go down in history! Hurricane Dorian came, but Emily and Brad conquered! Although they had to move their ceremony inside, and make many other compromises along the way, these two weathered the storm in admirably good spirits. They even entered their reception to the song Rock You Like A Hurricane! The most amazing part of everything was that the power cooperated and stayed on until their dance ended. Definitely fate. If you ever need to figure out how to make a wedding work in inclement weather, look no further than this post.

You’ll want to look closely at this album, because it’s a game changer! If you haven’t already heard of Country Mamma’s Rentals, be sure to check their Facebook page because they have everything you could want or need for event decor! The barn was filled with beautiful purple and burlap for Melissa and Travis’ wedding reception, and no detail was unattended! So many great ideas here!

It might have been gray outside, but inside the barn was anything but drab for Ashley and Danny’s wedding reception! Rocklin Parties provided beautiful drapery and linens, and the bride herself created beautiful floral arrangements for each table. Other shout outs include Foxy Entertainment (who provided dancing tunes AND photo booth services!), Something Borrowed Vintage Rentals for some beautiful decor pieces, and Chefs From Away for providing a barbecue feast!

A classic ceremony backdrop with hay bales and rolling green hills, classic and elegant reception decor...the word of the day for Katelyn and Tyler’s wedding was classic! The usual special shout outs include: Final Touch Party Rentals, The Pantry Kitchen Catering, Special Occasions Tents and Event Decor for the round reception tables, Foxy Entertainment, and Partridge Photography (who was here until after 11pm, doing nighttime photos I can only imagine will be amazing, and running a super-fun dance floor photo booth!).

The skies were uncertain, but the rain not only waited until after Will and Rachel’s outside ceremony, but gave them a vibrant rainbow as a backdrop for their wedding photos! Check out Mountain Primitive Photography for that stunning masterpiece - my photo doesn’t do it justice. Shout outs once again to Final Touch Party Rentals for their ever-beautiful services!

Another beautifully bright and sunny day greeted Heidi and Chris on their wedding day! This couple didn’t waste an inch of the barn, and had plenty of gorgeous greenery and decor throughout. The pictures just don’t do it justice. There were also plenty of personal touches, like tapestries, a cupcake stand specially made by the bride’s father, and a few subtle nods to a certain TV show that happens to be a favourite in our household too! Special vendor shoutouts go to the Pantry Kitchen Catering, Final Touch Party Rentals, Country Mamma’s Rentals, Homespun Design, and Cakes and Things - all played a part in the beauty you will see in this album.
