In this scary and uncertain time, it may feel like all we can do is close our door and wait for the crisis to end. But there are people and animals who need our help. If you know someone who is in self-isolation and needs supplies or medicine for their pet, we can help. People requiring assistance can submit this request for service form https://tinyurl.com/wpb6q4m And please consider opening your home to a pet in need. We are accepting applications for our crisis foster care program. We can screen new foster homes virtually and with references. Remember pets are part of the social safety net, and we need to ensure they are cared for. We do not want to have a situation where our animal shelters are full. https://pawsforhope.org//no-pet-left-b/foster-application/

Hello! BenBen CatCat here asking you to help my fellow BC animals in need. You see, I was like many unwanted animalsafraid, lonely, and in desperate need of love and care. I was just days away from being euthanized at an animal shelter with a crushed spine and several deep lacerations. The doctors said I have a medical condition that will require life-long meds and that I would probably never walk again. I was sure there was no hope left. But then, my purrfect family ...saved me! And now I am up to lots of #Benangians and being a voice for animals that don’t have homesespecially during the holidaysbecause all animals deserve a warm furever home, and all the catnip and cuddles they could ever imagine! More animals, just like me, need your help right here in BC. That’s why I am asking you to join me in support of Paws for Hope. But hurry and get your donation in becausethanks to a generous donorgifts donated from now until 11:59 PM on December 1, will be matched for the first $20,000. That means TWICE the animals saved. Join me and the FamJam in saving lives and spreading joy! My friends at Paws for Hope would be extremely grateful for your support. Please donate today: https://bit.ly/Paws-2020 -BenBen CatCat @benbencatcat

What???? 203 cats are coming into BC from Hawaii??? Communities across the province are struggling with cat over population. Shelters and rescue are over flowing with cats and kittens and small communities are desperately struggling with curbing the population of existing colonies due to significant reduction in spay and neutering as a result of service restrictions in clinics because of COVID 19. And on top of this, we do not know the health status of these cats or the ca...pacity of the organization bringing them in to ensure that all 203 are fully vetted and spay and neutered. Do not get wrapped up in the drama of the story being shared about this transport. Cats are suffering and dying here! And they need your help.

Meet Winnie and Pooh. They were dumped in a forest in North Vancouver and brought into one of our partner clinics. When no other shelter or rescue could take them we said we would. They are currently in foster care and will be available for adoption as a pair soon. #nopetleftbehind #fosteringsaveslives #gunieapig

One of the benefits of Animal Welfare Advisory Network of BC membership is access to our Guardian Angel Grants to support the important work our members do. A Voice4Paws Canine Rescue has transferred Jubilee into their care from Manitoba. This sweet pup had a broken leg that has healed terribly. He will need surgery to fix his leg, and thanks to our wonderful donors we are able to contribute $1,000 towards the surgery. This significantly relieves the financial burden and allows A Voice4Paws to help more dogs. To learn more about members visit www.awanbc.com. Eldar is a loving and sweet cat. He is very gentle. He is not shy when it comes to displaying his affection. He enjoys gently nudging us, speaking and accompanying us around the house. When he is relaxed, he will purr in the sweetest way when getting head and face rubs. Eldar enjoys being around the action. He has some kitten energy a few times a day, zooming around the house, chasing toys, or asking us for playtime. In the last few months he has made major progress as ...he’s learned that humans are his friends and caregivers. Eldar is energetic and very explorative. He is food driven and is always around for meal time. Some food should not be left out as Eldar will help himself. Eldar is playful and curious and would be a great addition to any family where his boundaries can be respected. *no young children *unsure with other pets Age: 2.5 years Neutered Male Included in adoption fee: Booster CORE vaccine + rabies, microchip & tattoo

Age: Estimated 1-3 years old Origin: Transferred within the province due to emergency hoarder situation Included in adoption fee: spayed, Core vaccine plus booster, anti-parasitic as needed Neveah is a very sweet mama cat who has raised her final litter of kittens and is now ready to find her forever home. The perfect home for Niveah will be calm and quiet and her new humans should show a willingness to work with Niveah to help her feel more comfortable. She does take a littl...e while to settle in and get used to new surroundings. Once settled in, Niveah loves head rubs, sitting on window sill, getting brushed, her scratching post, playing with ping pong balls, and her toy mouse. She spends most of her day napping on a blanket on the living room couch. She gets spurts of energy where she runs around the room, chases her tail. Niveah will certainly steal your heart once you give her the chance to get to know you. Niveah would do best in a home without young children No dogs
