Are you seeing this message popup on your screen? It means that Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows 7 which means no more security updates/fixes for your PC. But don't worry, you can still get Windows 10 for free with a valid Windows 7 or Windows 8 license!!. Bring your PC/Laptop into the shop and we can give you a free estimate on what it will cost to upgrade your current machine to Windows 10 (if it's supported) and we will get you back up and running safe and secure!
Happy New Year everyone! Thanks for an amazing 2019 and we hope to see you all in 2020!!

There has been a recent data breach of millions of email addresses and passwords of users on the internet. Here is a good website to read all about it. Check our next comment for more information.
Just a friendly reminder to remember that your desktop PC (and even your laptop) could use a good cleaning from time to time.
Have you noticed lately that the fans inside your computer have been very loud? It's possible they are clogged with dust which can disrupt the air flow that's needed to properly cool down important components inside your machine. Bring your PC in anytime to have the inside of your computer cleaned out before it can do any permanent damage. Example: Your computer should NOT look like the one in the attached photo.

Saved this little piece of awesome, from a dumpster today. It didn't work. Nothing a bit of know how, some spare capacitors, resistors, and a few bodge wires can't fix.
Did you know we also provide security systems? For example this Smartcode 914 Deadbolt. Call George for further details.
And if 2780 hours of on-time didn't impress you, check out this one from my own personal computer. Its almost out of warranty, about 1 year remaining (edit: i previously said going on 6 years but i double checked and i was incorrect, i thought it was older than it really is) and its another 1TB Black by Western Digital and check out its on-time hours!
At PCS we sometimes use a program called HDD Guardian which can tell us the amount of on-time hours a hard drive has had. In the two following pictures you will see a comparison between a very good Western Digital Black series 1TB hard drive (size doesn't really matter, its the physical model/brand that matters in this case), and a cheaper Seagate 320GB entry level hard drive. The Western Digital drive comes with an amazing 5 year warranty and costs roughly $140+HST, and the ...320GB Seagate comes with a standard 1 year warranty which you could pick up for well under $100 after taxes. The first picture shows the WD Black hard drive having a total of 2780 on-time hours with 0 bad sectors detected. The 2nd picture shows the cheaper Seagate hard drive having a total of 18 on-time hours and 16 bad sectors. And yes you read that correctly, only 18 hours of on-time which is literally nothing at all!. This is a very good example of the old saying "You get what you pay for" and in this case the more expensive Black Series hard drive is still going strong compared to the Seagate. See more
This is another example of what happens when you smoke around your computer.
Fanless mini-pc. Can attach to the back of your monitor to save desk space. http://pcs-computers.ca/shop/en/home/40-fanless-mini-pc.html
You get what you pay for. Took apart a cheap laptop today and was surprised at what we found. 1. Empty space... 2. Motherboard and CPU 3. I included a Loony for scale (Sorry I didn't have a banana) 4. Cooling Fan. 5. In the 2nd picture, for comparison I included the Motherboard and CPU from a HP laptop we sell. See more
Jeff did a cool tablet repair today. The power switch was busted right off the circuit board, so he had to mount a new switch on the outside.
