Proceed with Caution Black box dye coloured blonde- is it possible? Depending Since box dyes can be high in harsh chemicals(ie ammonia) it is hard to predict how they will react with bleach. Clients must be prepared for the time it can take, have realistic blonde tone expectations(not very likely getting to a platinum), and be prepared to maybe lose length because sometimes there’s only so much your ends can take ... This beauty decided to take on the risk and after 2 sessions of low volume bleaching we decided to no longer proceed with any more bleaching because her hair became compromised.
