Our first class filled up so quickly, so we've added a second. Only 4 spots available for this very popular music class for 3 to 6 year olds. For everyone's safety, the classes are restricted to just 4 participants and are held in the large Art Room at Leir House. Sign up today! www.pentictonacademyofmusic.ca/group_lessons

Due to popular demand, we're happy to announce that some of our faculty will be offering private lessons over the summer. Maybe this is the year you take up the French Horn, the Trumpet, or the Oboe. Or maybe you want to delve deeper into the mystery of music and finally study theory. Find an instructor and then REGISTER HERE: https://pentictonacademyofmusic.ca/registration/

Thank You for Your Support! The office and studios at Leir House continue to be closed to the public; however, thanks to the efforts of our wonderful faculty and students, PAMDA has been quite successful in transitioning to online learning during this difficult time. Most of our instructors are still teaching and the majority of our students are still receiving the quality instruction they need to continue their studies and experience the joy that music and dramatic arts bring to all our lives. It's very encouraging!

The OSO believes in the power of music to heal, unite and transform. What better time than now to share all of our individual inspiration with you. Be prepare...d to witness the glorious chaos and authenticity of our real selves, in our real lives. From Our House to Yours is our ongoing gift to you, until we can share live music once again. First in our series is OSO Music Director and Conductor Rosemary Thomson. She and her family present one of her favourite songs for you. Rosemary also recommends one of her favourite pieces, Le jardin féerique from the Mother Goose Suite by Maurice Ravel. Rosemary says "This is my favourite interpretation, you can't beat Dutoit for French music and I love the sound of the MSO." Enjoy! (see the link below). https://youtu.be/a0cNlSa9lP4?t=291

Join the PAMDACommunity #30DayPracticeChallenge! While we are all safe at home, lets use this time to create a good habit and establish a daily practice. Youll find that even 10 or 15 minutes a day will make a huge difference in your musical journey. And were here to help! This is a group challenge that goes for 30 days. Participating is simple: just post your pictures and videos of you practicing for the month of April. No judgement, just lots of support. All are welcome.... COVID-19 and APRIL FESTIVAL EVENTS In consideration of the advice from Governments and the Public Health Officials; the Board Members of our Festival has made t...he difficult decision to CANCEL ALL OUR APRIL EVENTS. We are saddened that so many of our young performers will not have the opportunity to showcase the work that they have learned and practiced this year. All registration fees that have been paid will be refunded back as quickly as we can by way of a cheque in the mail. For those studios/teachers that made bulk payments we will be refunding by way of a bulk payment back. Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work through this. We look forward to your participation next year in the 2021 Festival.

Due to the success of our workshop in the fall, were excited to offer this winter workshop, which will continue to build on the skills of preparing and performing a monologue and scene work (improvised and scripted), as well discussing what to expect at an audition and how to create a performance résumé. If you have a short monologue prepared or in the works, please bring it along; otherwise one will be provided for you. This workshop is ideal for those who want to get into theatre but do not know where to start or for those who may have upcoming auditions. Past and new participants are welcome!
