The Dispatcher is responsible for the scheduling and dispatching of drivers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles for conveyance of materials and services rendered outside the place of business 24/7 for duration of scheduled shift. Provide trouble shooting advice to drivers on the operation of equipment over the phone. Update dispatch journal daily with completed job field ticket information. Work in conjunction with operations administrative staff to communicate with customers on unsigned and coded field tickets. Work with operations administrative staff to communicate with drivers who repeatedly hand in incomplete or unsigned and coded field tickets. Work in conjunction with human resources department to administer and track discipline of front line employees and participate in employee evaluations as needed. Work with the HSE department to complete monthly inspections and audits. Strong communication skills, able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times. Job Location: Grande Prairie The Combo Vac Truck Operator is responsible for following all NSC regulations regarding this position. The Operator will be responsible for taking part in daily pre-trips and assessments prior to starting every job. The Operator will follow all Standard Work Procedures (SWP) at all times and will discuss with their supervisor if they are unable to follow procedure. The Operator is responsible for a range of service operations such as spill clean-u...p and cleaning vessels. The Operator is responsible for the transportation of bulk fluid loads that are mixed with solids, transferring fluids that are mixed with solids and either taking them to disposal, or moving them across Alberta or BC. The Operator is responsible for the loading and unloading of fluids on the truck, coordinating the transportation of materials, while also abiding by all TDG regulations. While completing projects, the Operator will supervise activities of Swampers assigned to assist them. The Operators will provide leadership and task delegation to Swampers through coaching and mentoring. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Takes part in all pre-job hazard assessments and inspections prior to commencing any job. Complies with Performance Vac & Tank Services Ltd.’s Health & Safety Manual. Reports all incidents, accidents and/or near misses, or equipment damage as soon as they happen. Wears all required PPE for the task at hand and ensuring that it is maintained and in good repair. Hands in paperwork as required by dispatch, administration and the safety department. Ensures federal hours of service are adhered to and that log books are completely filled out and handed in for daily and monthly auditing purposes. Attends safety meeting as required and as able. Operates vacuum units and associated equipment in a safe, responsible and professional manner. Ensures proper load securement of any hoses, chemical pails or other equipment. Ensures that there is always a watch person when working in confined spaces. Provides leadership, guidance and mentorship to assisting Swampers.
