Peterborough Table Hockey Association 01.10.2020

Hey kids. I hope you are all staying safe and staying sane during isolation. Some of you may remember Kirk Comrie from the days of Jim & Chad Maker. Kirk's wife is currently in Toronto ICU with Covid-19 and Kirk is battling the virus at home. Let's keep Kirk & Ashley in our prayers. Stay safe friends <3 Maggie

We set up a couple of games at Rawscoes today. It was a little slower than last time but the seven of us who played 12 games between us had a good time and that's what really counted. Jeff Hayes was there so we started a best of seven between us. He won 4-2 in game one. Heather played 3 games while she was there and came away with 3 wins. 4-3 over Jeff and 8-4 against me. Her third win was against Nicole 3-1. Thanks Heather for taking the time to come and play a few games tod...ay. Jeff and I set up for game two of our series and after today I can confidently say we have a new player in the PTHA. Jeff attended our last League Session and posted an impressive 6-5-1 record. Welcome to the League. In game two Jeff came away with a 3-2 win. Game three was a 4-3 win for me and game four was a big 8-4 win for Jeff. I took a win in a must win game five 3-2. Game six was an 8-3 win for Jeff as he took the series in 6 games. It was nice having you there today Jeff and we look forward to seeing you at the Hall on Sunday. I was getting ready to go and three people came into the store and played a couple of games. Kyan played twice and defeated Blake 2-0 and lost to Shawn by a score of 3-1. In the end we played 12 games between us. Dosen't seem like a lot but it made for an enjoyable afternoon. See more

Wanted to make note of a couple of our visitors on Saturday. One, who brought down some metal table hockey players that he found at a yard sale to show us and the other, being PTHA alumni Jim Maker. He and Bill Holdcroft faced off for a game in which Bill took the win with a score of 5 - 4. It was a good game to watch and all part of what turned out to be a good day at Rawscoes.
