Penny is thankful for her rescuer bringing her indoors and is hoping for a forever family in time for the holidays. . . Penny was born outdoors last summer. A kind man attempted to rescue wall of the kittens, but they disappeared and only penny was left behind. Penny didn't want to be rescued, so the kind man continued to make sure she was fed and had shelter. This summer Penny had three kittens of her own and it was time to come inside. .... . Penny has adjusted well to life indoors, she has all the comforts a kitty could want in her foster home and doesn't have to worry about harsh conditions that exist outside. His family sometimes calls him Benjamin Bean, cause he seems to be aging backwards Frankie takes good care of Bean, giving him baths and showing him the best spots to watch the birdies. .... . We thought spring kitten season was busy, but this fall has become quite demanding and overwhelming. We have cats waiting to come into our care, but they have no where to go; our network of foster homes is full, our sanctuary is overflowing and there are so many more cats that want to come inside. . . Fostering helps us to bridge the gap between intake and adoption for so many cats. Without our foster homes we would have to turn away so many animals in need of shelter, med...ical attention, and love. These cats pictured are only two of those waiting to come into pet patrol, and there are so many more requests for us to answer. . . Fostering is simple; cats come to live with you until they are ready to be adopted. Foster homes shuttle cats to vet appointments as needed, take pictures for our social media team, provide updates on personalities to our adoption team, and meet with potential adopters. We ask that foster homes cover the cost of food and litter (and treats of course). . . We honestly could not help as many cats as we do without our network of foster homes! The handsome and refined gentleman is Chapman. This boy loves to be where people are, he will go from room to room to make sure everyone gets some attention. The best napping spot is when you're touching the most people at the same time. . . Chapman can be playful, but he is a refined gentleman that much prefers the quiet and slow pace of life. Watching squirrels and naps on the sofa are his favourite pastimes, it's clear that he loves the inside life. .... . Aren't Dallas and Doris just the cutest? . . Dallas, the silky white boy, is always alert and ready to explore. He is playful and an expert at getting into every nook and cranny. When he needs to recharge, he likes to take a nap in a lap. .... . Doris is a sweet and gentle little girl. She is easy to handle, and loves to sit on your lap for some purr time. Today is #gingercatappreciationday ! . . We here at the sanctuary are very appreciative of our ginger cats, especially our resident gingers. Ricki has been a friendly greeter at the sanctuary, always interacting with the new faces to involve them in kitty games .... . The colour of a cats coat is quite closely linked to their gender, for this reason most gingers are male. If you cross paths with a female ginger kitty, it's pretty rare, since only 19% of all orange tabbies are female. . . You can appreciate your own ginger cat, the cartoon gingers like @garfield, or movie cats like Orion from @meninblack or Jones from @alienmovie. Do you have a favourite ginger cat?
