Currently just received deworming of valbazen & Eprinex pour on, feet trimmed and bolused with copper. Registered as 50% grade. Great doeling just too refined for my program.

What a beautiful #alberta day. This winter has just been incredible. Last winter at this time we were stuck in weeks of -40 to -50c. It was challenging, but I am lovin this. We run wood heat so prepping for the temp to drop next week. Hope you got to enjoy outside today

Lets talk kidding kits Ive had a few people starting out ask me what’s important so Ill share what I keep ready and use the most. First pic from left to right is- head snare, gloves(exam & long rectal), lube, weigh scale and basket, spray bottle of prepodine solution for navels, leg rope(must soak this in solution before using), selenium(I inject does a month before kidding but I give injections to triplets and quads), syringes with lure lock(important so the n...eedle doesnt blow off and spray medicine in your face), and 20g needles I like this size for the babies and the bigs. Second pic top from left to right- oral vitamin a,d&e(injectable has been unavailable in alberta so we switched to this), colostrum, nipples that fit on pop bottles, bottle and tube for tubing kids(recommend having one cause there is always one that needs to be tubed milk or electrolytes), oral meloxicam(metacam) for moms who had difficult births, tags in various colors to identify canadian registered, traditional registered and commercial. Bottom row left to right I have hoof trimmers as moms get their feet trimmed while I have them in the small kidding pens, collar and leash for tying up moms, Allflex tagging gun, and last is rings for the boys who are not registerable as they get done before being moved out into the big pen where I cant catch them.
