Due to the CERB application opening today the CRA website is very slow and at times unresponsive. If you need specific information that requires me to use my REP a Client portal I may not be able to do so for about a week. Canada Revenue Agency will defer its filing due date for the 2019 tax returns of individuals and certain trusts: For individuals, the filing date has been pushed back to June 1, 2020. The original filing date was April 30. For trusts with a taxation year ending on Dec. 31, 2019, the due date for filing returns has been moved back to May 1.... Individuals may defer their income tax payments until after Aug. 31, 2020 with no interest or penalties. For business owners, you will also be allowed to defer income tax payments until after Aug. 31 without any interest or penalties. With the recent news and school closures I will have to modify my office hours a bit. I will be splitting my time between my downtown office and home. All bookings will be held at my new office.
