Who else is stoked for a great Saturday?! Snow is fresh, power is on, and winds are much more mild than yesterday! There will be snowdrifts all over the mountain from yesterday’s high winds, so watch out and stay safe while skiing and riding today! Drive safe, don’t forget your masks, and see you soon! (And yes the base is much more than 13cm, little type on our part)

At the moment, we unfortunately have no power at the mountain. We will update you when we have power again! The road up to Phoenix is a bit messy, so if you’re heading up, drive safe!At the moment, we unfortunately have no power at the mountain. We will update you when we have power again! Things are crazy windy up here and unfortunately we are unable to open today (Friday). Fingers crossed that conditions will allow us to open tomorrow and we can all get out and enjoy some pow turns! Thank you everyone for your understanding and have a great Friday!

Today is the day! We’re starting the day with a base of 84cms! Nothing new in the last 24 hours, but on opening day there’s plenty of fresh tracks to be had. With that said, be careful in the trees and watch out for undergrowth. Remember - gear up at your car, wear a mask, and have a ton of fun!!! : @leta.likethis (not taken this season) ... #skiphoenix

What a great weekend! Who else has T-bar legs after a day on the mountain? If you couldn’t make it up the last 3 days we are still open Monday and Tuesday for school groups and the public! #skiphoenix #boundarycountry #grandforksbc #greenwoodbc #skibc

Thank you to everyone who came out today for a great opening day of our 2020/21 season! We are open the rest of the weekend for both seasons pass holders and day pass sales, as well Monday and Tuesday as we welcome school groups to the mountain! A reminder to all, masks/face coverings are to be worn while around and in the lodge, while waiting in line for the lift, while riding the t-bar, and during lessons. You are permitted to remove your mask while skiing or snowboarding ...down the mountain and while eating or drinking in the lodge or at your vehicle. Thank you to everyone who put the extra effort in to allow room in the lodge by tailgating at your vehicle with your family or bubble, and thank you to everyone for respecting the guidelines put in place! We can't do this with out you all and we are looking forward to a wonderful season! Photo Credits : Sheryl McIver and Madeline Joanne Williams

We are super excited to open TOMORROW! The mountain is open to both seasons pass holders as well as day pass holders. Day passes will be available in the main lodge. Please follow one-way directional signs through the back door of the lodge through the lodge past the ticket counter and out the front door onto the deck. Thank you in advance for your patience as we adjust to this new way of doing things. We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend enjoying our little mountain!

We’re a couple days away from opening and we want to share how this season will look a bit different than what we are all used to. Here’s a brief look at some changes. For the full COVID safety plan, visit http://www.skiphoenix.ca//Phoenix-Mountain-Alpine-Covid-19 Masks and physical distancing (2m) are mandatory on Phoenix Mountain. The only time you are permitted to lower your mask is while skiing and riding down the mountain or while eating. GEARING UP : We ask that ever...yone boot-up and get ready for a day of Phoenix-laps at their own vehicles. As well that lunches and snacks are eaten at your vehicle too (camping chairs could be a great idea!) DOWNSTAIRS : This area of our lodge will be available for bathroom access only. There will be no seating or storage as we have had in past years. The stairway will also be closed off and there will be no public access from downstairs to upstairs. UPSTAIRS : We will have a maximum capacity of 15 people inside the main lodge at once. There is limited seating available, and please stick to your bubble. We know this season will look different in some ways but we will still have great terrain and snow to enjoy! We thank you all for your patience as all the behind the scenes details come together. See you all on Friday!

CoVid-19 Update: After careful consideration and deliberation regarding the rapidly growing concern over Covid-19, Phoenix ski hill will be closing for the season effective immediately . As much as we would love to stay open and continue to provide a venue for those to enjoy the outdoors, we feel it is our duty to help reduce the spread of this virus. We truly appreciate all of our patrons and want to thank our staff and guests for their continued support during this challenging time. We will have a few staff on the hill this weekend from 10-4 for anyone needing to pick-up gear or clear up tabs. Best regards from the staff, management and board of Phoenix mountain.

Just received this message from Vendela Villanueva. We are so happy that you and your family enjoyed your day. We love hearing about your experiences on our great hill. Thank you, "I cleared my head today. Went to the ski hill. It was honestly, one of the most beautiful days I think I have ever experienced up there, ever. I've been skiing since I was just a little kid, so it's not like spring skiing is new to me...but somehow, this day was special. Almost felt like a dream ...it was so gorgeous. I could have stayed home and prepared my taxes today, but I am glad I made the choice to get out in the sunshine & powder. Rio and Raine took me on tons of the fun tree runs on the hill that have been newly created since the hill expansion, that I'd not been on before. It was such a good time & could not have been a more perfect day. I wish I had a picture to share, but a picture could never do this day justice.... My friend asked me to share this Facebook post with the Phoenix ski hill page, so if you feel like sharing it on your page, feel free. I love our mountain. I've skied a lot of different hills since I've been a kid, but Phoenix will always have a special place in my heart!" See more
