Cut Flower Gardens. Earlier this year in one of my videos I mentioned I was making part of my veggie garden an area for cut flower bouquets. It was one of those garden projects that sounded so easy. It was not. ... As first they just didn't grow very much, then the heat came and really slowed everything down, and then we got flea beetles to the max. Overall it was much more challenging than I planned for. But here is the beautiful result! The rows that I have given over to the flowers are now my favourites. They are all blooming in an amazing show of colours. This is attracting hundreds of pollinators to my gardens everyday. Each year I have always had flowers mixed in with my veggies. This is very important part of a vegetable garden as it provides a consistent amount of blooms. These bloom will sustain your pollinator population in between your vegetable blooming periods.
