I am so disheartened to have to make this post. Since reopening after the holidays under the stage 2 guidelines from our government, we have been required to reduce our capacity and do active covid screening. We are currently not required to ask for individual's vaccine passports; however, because I have two small children under the age eligible for vaccination and an immunocompromised mother, myself along with Ian had to decided that we would ask for passports to help reduce... the risk of transmission since we know this variant can have very few if no symptoms in some individuals. It has been brought to my attention that there may be a client or more that have presented us with fake passports and have been dishonest with us when assuring us of their vaccination status when booking appointments, and that there are rumours around town that we are not checking people's passports (again, we are not required to ask for them, But we have chosen to do so of our own accord). It saddens me that some people are acting so selfishly to obtain something that is not a necessity and disregarding other people's health and safety to do so. Ian and I care about our community and we are trying to go above and beyond what government is asking right now, not only to ensure the health and safety of our clients and family members but also ourselves to ensure that we can still remain open and do our jobs. After being shut down for a total of 8 months during this pandemic we can't afford to take risks and be off work. To anyone who has been dishonest about booking or attending their appointments we please ask that you be honest with us and respect the guidelines that we have set. To everyone else, your support and understanding mean the world to us and we can't thank you enough for being here with us during all of this! See more

*PSA* To anyone waiting on an email response - I'm sorry! It has been a really hectic few wks both with business and especially in my personal life so unfortunately I have fallen behind with emails. With so much on my plate to deal with, staring at a full inbox has been giving me anxiety because I know as soon as I respond to them all, not only will I get responses to those that will soon need attention but there will also be other new emails flooding in daily. Please know that I truly appreciate everyone's interest and that I am slowly getting back to all your emails. It is a daunting task and there really just isn't enough time in each day to get to them all when running a business, fulfilling my appts and raising 2 small children. Thank you again for all of your support, patience and understanding!

As we wind down the last few hours of the year I can't help but think about what a roller coaster it's been. I can't express the amount of gratitude I have to still be doing what I love and I so look forward to seeing everyone in the new year. To say this year has been tough is an understatement; it has been hard on artists and many other small businesses, but especially those of us that were deemed nonessential and were forced to shut down for 8 months. Earlier in the fall ...I was asked to take part in a documentary by a student from Loyalist College and with numbers as high as they are, the fear of another lockdown has been very real so I figured this was as good a time as any to share what they produced. Thank you to Sabrina Ventrella and her team for asking me to be part of their project and for all their hard work. Wishing everyone a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2022! https://youtu.be/yipaaZBce78

What a year it has been! Lots of ups and downs but @ian_langdon and I are so very grateful to everyone who has supported us on this rocky road; we would not be here still without you! So thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season no matter what you are celebrating this year! We are now closed for the holidays and hope to return to a better 2022 January 4th

This post is coming a little late, but I am so grateful to everyone who notified me of our sign blowing down in last Saturday's storm and especially those who made the extra effort to pick up our sign and move it to safety. I don't know who you were, but thank you so much! Warms my heart to know our community has our back
