Jessica Wright and our Kootenay Family made some (really cool) slime last week! Here is their secret recipe they have so graciously shared with us! 1. Empty your glue into a large bowl and add the food coloring little by little, mixing until you get your desired color. 2. Add the shaving cream and mix well. The mixture will start to get very thick and fluffy.... 3. Now you are ready to add in your slime activator the contact solution. Add it in little by little, and keep stirring until you start getting the slime consistency. Add smaller and smaller amounts towards the end. 4. Stand back, and let the kids have fun!

There is so much to be said on the importance of "putting yourself first"- yet many continue to see this way as a selfish approach to living. Fortunately, this could not be farther from the truth. Naturally, putting yourself first allows you to be in a better state to help others. The more energy you channel into loving, caring, and expanding yourself- the more you have to offer to those who require or reach out for your support. Below are some quick and easy ways to practi...ce self-love/self-nourishment that have and continue to work for many! 1. Meditation - 10 minutes a day (5 min. in the am & pm). Simply sitting up once you've awakened and listening to your breath for 5 minutes can do wonders for you. It provides you with a lasting ability to be present, focused and mindful. 2. Spending 20-30 mins a day doing something that genuinely makes you feel happy and fulfilled. The most important connection you will cultivate in your life, is the one with yourself. It sets the tone for every other connection you develop. Dancing is my thing, so I love to start off the day with my own little dance party while getting ready. It really sets the perfect tone for the rest of my day! 3. Going for a 20-30 minute walk outside. Needless to say, being around nature grounds us in ways nothing else can. Once we've acquired a solid connection with ourselves, connecting with external sources is our next best way to recharge. Mother nature provides natural energy charging stations everywhere. You just need to stick around long enough to have her fill your cup up. 4. Connect with loved ones. Whether it's just being around your family while doing your own thing, or engaging in a deep connection through conversation- cultivating synergy with those around you can charge us up and keep us feeling full for many hours after! Understandably, it can be extremely challenging to just find the time when you have children and/or dependants. But remember, what they see you do is how they learn to live. You are your own person and you deserve to have your own time (even 15 mins) to do your own thing and be reminded of your unique and beautiful self! Be selfish in loving yourself. Be selfless in loving another
