Have you ever found yourself in a place where you felt hopeless, longing to feel safe? Moments when you were afraid and didn't know what to do? Truth is, we all do. Just like children. But there is someone you can turn to for strength. Someone who knows you. Someone safe.... Watch the video and tell us about a time where you saw God answer your prayers in the comments below

You might have seen videos where people have been given an over the top gift and they couldn't keep in their emotions. The God of this universe has given a personal, sacrificial, and costly gift to us. It is the life of His very own Son, Jesus Christ to die the death that we fully deserve. He knew that we couldn't save ourselves nor pay the debt that we owe to God. So God, in His love, chose to be the payment on our behalf. All He asks is to receive it by believing. Will you believe it?

You don't have to suffer through the pain of this life alone. Jesus is waiting to give you hope in hurt, peace in anger, and healing in pain. Will you let him? We'd love to talk with you. Send us a message or comment below.

When Jesus declared that evil and sin no longer have claim, He meant it. He shouldered all our sin and shame, so that we may find amazing grace in the One who loves us so much, He died for us. Find out how much Jesus loves you and why He died to save you. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Hello church, do you agree with this video? Should pastors show how ancient texts of the Bible are still relevant for current cultural issues? Is the Sunday morning service a place to bring up difficult topics?

Every year on July 1, we celebrate Canada Day. We celebrate the freedom, rights and privileges that are afforded to us by making Canada our home. As we do, le...t us also remember that there are people who first lived on this land that is now known as Canada. We recognize the truth in this history and the need to continue working towards reconciliation. Let us also pause on this day to acknowledge Indigenous peoples, and their histories, contribution, and current realities. We are not Strong and Free until all are fully included in the rights afforded us as citizens. Today, July 1, 2020, research and consider whose land you are on at NativeLand.ca https://native-land.ca/, and celebrate all who make this country our shared Home and Native Land. On Canada Day, let us celebrate this nation and its potential as a world leader. Let us also recognize those nations that were here originally and welcomed those who came to these shores. There is much we can be thankful for today, but recognize there is more to do to reach full inclusion, justice and respect. #CanadaDay #IndigenousPeoples See more

Today, May 21st, is Ascension Day. It is the day we remembered that Jesus bodily ascended into heaven. It is traditionally celebrated on a Thursday, forty days after Easter. Why is this important? Just click and read the explanation as to the significance of it for our lives today.

Canadian Baptist Ministries joins with the rest of the nation and our partner, Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada in grieving the senseless acts of violence t...hat took place across the province of Nova Scotia on April 18-19. We mourn the loss of all life, including the death of 23-year RCMP veteran Const. Heidi Stevenson, who lost her life in the service of others. Our prayer is for the families and friends of all those impacted by this tragedy. We know that their grief is compounded by the isolation required due to Covid-19. May they know the truth of Psalm 34 the Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit. Nova Scotia is a province famous for its lighthouses, which for centuries have guided ships through the darkness to safe harbour. Jesus came as the Light shining in the darkness and the darkness has still not overcome it. We stand with church communities across NS and pray that they would be as lighthouses shining comfort, peace, and hope in the darkness of this challenging time, leading people to safe harbour. #ns #novascotia

Today is what is known as Maundy Thursday. Jesus celebrated Passover with the rest of the Jewish people. What is the significance of this, and why did the Jewish leaders have to involve the Romans in order to get rid of Jesus?
