Polykar est fière d’annoncer qu’après un long processus de sélection, Scott Builders a été choisie pour construire son usine de fabrication de près de 50 000 pieds carrés dans le Discovery Business Park à Edmonton en Alberta. L'ajout d'une deuxième installation emploiera 50 personnes durant la première phase d’occupation. La levée de la première pelletée de terre est prévue pour le printemps 2021. Significant strides are being made every day by Canada's leaders in plastic manufacturing to reduce our environmental footprint. As part of our own commitment, Polykar Inc. is very proud to share with you today the creation of another exciting joint venture with industry partners Dow and Winpak. There’s no other way around it collaborations and strong partnerships are essential to safeguard flexible plastic as a critical resource in a sustainable way. One company alone simpl...y can’t tackle all of the different aspects of plastic recovery and recycling. Through this important alliance, #flexibleplastic is collected, sorted and reprocessed, creating a recycled content stream that prevents waste from entering the #environment. This year’s collaboration alone will have diverted approximately 492,000 lb of plastic away from landfills. That’s almost 25 million of our recycled kitchen garbage bags!
