Did you know icebreaking operations for the Port of Thunder Bay commence in early-to-mid-March to prepare for the arrival of the first vessels. This also clears the way for the safe departure of wintering ships.

It might look cold out there, but there’s still work to be done in the Port of Thunder Bay. During the chillier months several vessels will winter in Thunder Bay for maintenance work.
