Hello again pet lovers! This is a post of another portrait of a lovely dog I did a while back. His name is Mick and this was a special Christmas present for his owner. So special!! I painted him with acrylic on a 8x10 inch Baltic birch cradled panel. As usual, here are photos of the final portrait and progressional ones. Hope you all like him. Hello Pet Lovers! Now that we're into 2021, I thought I'd kick it off with a post of one of several pet portraits I did before Christmas. This one turned out really special, not only because it was a memorial portrait (always special), but also included a headstone (requested). It was unique and quite a challenge to arrange all the stone colours and the words for perfect balance. Hope you all like it. The dimensions are 9x12 inches and painted with acrylic. Happy Sunday Pet People! I haven't been able to post much lately because pretty much all the portraits I'm doing at this time are surprise gifts for someone. So, they'll have to wait until after the holiday season. But here is one I did way back in May, and completely forgot to post. These are two lovely Golden's, Hondo and Riley. Hello pet lovers! I recently had the honour of completing a very special memorial portrait of Bubba who sadly passed away at only 3 years of age. Bubba was a huge part of his family and is sadly missed by all. I'm so grateful to be able for the opportunity to create such a valuable memento for the family to cherish forever! Hello again pet lovers! I recently completed a memorial portrait of a lovely German Shepherd, Sasha! This is a full body portrait of her resting along one of her favourite trails in northern Alberta. The backdrop is early autumn foliage with a scattering of leaves to help balance the overall image. I'm including the original photo provided for this portrait with some progressional photos!
