Saddened to hear the news earlier this week of the loss of another member of the Powerhouse family. Jon was another bright young man that always came into the ...gym ready to work hard with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. His teammates and training partners all loved him and I know this loss has hit the South football community especially hard as he was a teammate, friend and mentor to many other kids during his time there and into the years after graduating. We'd like to send our condolences to all of Jon's family and friends as they look to find strength in this difficult time. Rest in peace Jon.

Shout out to some of the Powerhouse athletes and alumni on their success on the field this year. Noah Hallett from McMaster who was a first team allstar. Bleska... Kambamba from Western who was a first team allstar. Drew Mairleitner from Laurier who was a second team allstar. Noah Hallett and his McMaster Marauders winning the Yates Cup. Cole Kussmann and his Calgary Dinos winning both the Hardy Cup and Mitchell Bowl as well as competing for the Vanier Cup next weekend.

I'm a couple days late in posting this, but a huge congrats to Nick Hallett on getting drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in this year's CFL draft.

Kyle Boismier (Waterloo) was named a second team all star and Jaden Lattamore (Ottawa) was named to the all rookie team.

Good luck to all the Powerhouse boys who have headed into their first year of university football! KC is a 3X OUA all star and has been a big part of the Ravens offensive line his entire university career.

Dave is a 2X OUA all star as well as an all-Canadian last season as he helped the Mustangs to a Vanier Cup victory.

I'm a few weeks late in posting these, but congratulations and good luck to Waterloo Warriors offensive lineman Ben Koczwara who was drafted 67th overall by the... Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the CFL draft! Going into his first year at Waterloo, Ben had to work through a position change right off the bat, but hasn't looked back since and he's become a big part in leading an up and coming Warriors team.
