*pokes up head* Heeey all... Been awhile. Sooo, updates (finally!) Good news is I've found steady work, which means money can be put towards arty things once more, and feeling a bit more inspired to create! Hurray! Though bad news is I'm not planning to apply for any shows or anything for a bit. This is for a few reasons. First off, I'm wanted to start off crafting again by making a big personal project I've wanted to make for awhile (which I'll show you guys as I go since i...ts pretty geeky!). Second is I want to update Practically Geeky's stock and type of crafts a bit. I'm hoping to make a few more bigger and prop-like items this time around. I'll still make some of my old type of stuff, but some of it reeeally needs an upgrade or to be phased out or limited (eg: Duct tape wallets haven't sold well for a looong time). Thirdly, well, I AM working full time, so definitely limited a bit more with time than when I was working part time or looking for work. However, starting off with some experiments! Really want to get into making some bigger perler projects, so I started off with testing out a Pikachu! I mucked up the melting process a bit (it has been awhile, and bigger than I'm used to, so got some creases I'm not happy with) so this dude prolly won't be for sale, but he turned out pretty nice for a first foray back! He's about 10 inches tall, which is an interesting size. Not sure if I should make the big guys magnets, put a hanger on the back to put on the wall, or leave the back alone though...HMMM. Any thoughts, anyone (if you're still there?)

Important note before we start, the commission pictured here was done for Dreamer's Cosplay And Games! Check 'em out for any and all Cosplay needs, they awesome :). So while it's been quiet here, I've been very busy! Couldn't post 'til now, but now I finally have a big example of propwork I've done from scratch. As said, through Dreamer's, I was commissioned to make Yasuo's High Noon sword from League of Legends. And it was quite the project @_@! It was kinda...*cough*...the,... umm, first ever sword I've ever made, so I kind of bit off a lot >_>;. But I learnt a TON doing it, and honestly could probably cut a third of the time it took me to make this to make another sword. And, best of all, I was informed it's new owner really liked the final result (and I do too! Especially the paint job...I love roughing things up XD!) As for specs, its about 1.25 meters long, made from a lotta foam and worbla, all the different kinds of glue, a few pencils (long story), many lovingly given curses of damnation, and a few burns on my part (don't drop heatguns on yourself, kids! I still have the nozzle's gridmarks on my leg...). So yeah, in case you haven't noticed yet, I do props now too! So keep an eye out for those, and if there's anything you want (prop or otherwise), it's as easy as sending me a message and we'll go from there. Toodles!

Debating on a new type of thing to make and sell, and not sure about it...so figured I'd ask you guys! Pokeball terrariums? I'm thinking with my research thus far they'd be somewhere between $20-30. Yay, nay? May(be)? What do YOU guys think?

And the mystery item is revealed; it's my version of the Goron's Bracelet from Ocarina of Time! I went of a few slightly different references to create what I felt a real-word variance might look like :3. If I had a longer arm I'd of shown some pictures of me wearing it, but alas, I'm on my own at the moment, and just couldn't wait to show you guys! It's made with foam, worbla, and some spray and acrylic paints, sealed with a clear finish to save it from scratching. Also, si...nce it's actually round like in game, I've made a mini foam band to wear inside it so it doesn't slide back down your arm either. Gave the gold a bit of a worn look too... I don't think Link would think to polish it on the regular, with all the adventuring and whatnot XD;. If anyone's insterested, message me! I've also got the base pattern if it needs to be made bigger or smaller. Right now I'd say it can fit over a medium-large adult hand. So start Practically Geeky's ventures into prop-making. If you've got a prop idea you want to see, comment away! I'm still trying to make a base of props I can bring to shows :)
