PRINTING/FRAMING OF YOUR PHONE OR TABLET PICTURES: Not everyone has a DSLR, but just about everyone has a phone or a tablet. Recent phone & tablet models can take some great images now, certainly good enough to print. If youve captured a great image and thought youd like to print and perhaps even frame it, you can expect some pretty good results. To create the best possible print, you should set your phone or tablet to take pictures at the highest possible quality. Doing t...his does take up more storage, but you can expect some good results should you ever want to print them. To deal with the storage issue savings higher quality photos, consider cloud storage or removing your pictures from time to time to a computer or flash drive. A typical 12 megapixel phone camera photo can be easily printed up to 13 x 20 picture, which when matted and framed, could be as large as 19 x 26, depending on the frame width. While we can do complete matting framing of a picture, we can also just print your image up to 22 on the long side. We use archival quality pigment based inks rather than dye based inks and use archival papers. This means rather than lasting 15-20 years, the inks and paper can expected to last as long as 200 years, depending on how they are displayed. If you have a picture you are considering printing, you can contact us or email the picture and we can tell you how large the picture can be printed based on the pixels and quality. When sending by email, make sure you choose original or highest quality. Once again, consider set your phone or tablet camera to the highest quality possible to get the best results for printing. Phones & tablets with cameras on the both the front and rear typically take higher resolution pictures on the camera facing away from you. You can always reduce the size and quality of your pictures afterwards, but you cant get back the quality or size that was never captured using a low-resolution setting.

The Rendezvous in Deloraine is displaying 11 of Francis' s photographs, matted and framed by myself. In the next few days, I will post the pictures to this page for your enjoyment . I have to warn you, my photography skills are NOT as accomplished as Francis's.

What a difference a frame can make. I did this picture for a friend a while ago, and the original frame broke. I just put the same picture (mat and all) into a mahogany frame and the focus on the colour went from the reds into the greens.

Welcome to Prairie Framer. Francis and I recently moved to Deloraine a couple of years ago. We have complementing hobbies ...Francis takes the pictures and I mat and frame them. We've extended what we do to include canvases (both printing and stretching), needlework, shadowboxing, as well as restoring old and faded photographs, printing or enlarging photos, and scanning your artwork. We also do media conversions from VHS and tape to DVD, CD or Digital Format. We're not into mass production. We just want to provide our rural neighbours with a service that you normally have to go to a city to get. We may not be able to do everything, but if we can't we will tell you. Check us out. Maybe we can help you
