Hey it snowed yesterday so I just can’t hold off any longer!!! For those who have been asking, still no in person workshops but we have all the same projects made into craft kits you can take home and do with friends and family! So little introduction post here: For those who may not know me well, I have been a part of a moms program in our community for almost 10 yrs! This year I have been asked to come on as the mentor mom again which really just means I am no longer feeding babies and changing diapers or chasing toddlers, but instead have school aged children and a teenager which might give me some experience under my belt that I can share with new moms and moms of young children. ... You may be wondering what this has to do with our business? Let me explain. Some of our customers may wonder why our store has such limited hours we are open, and I have to tell you, it’s because even though I LOVE my work as owner of Prairie Collective Co. I also LOVE the time that I get to spend in volunteer positions for programs like this! So this yr we will continue on our post covid hours for now only opening at noon . This allows me to continue on volunteering in these types of things during weekday mornings. And I will be honest, it’s not just for the moms that I keep showing up, it’s for ME too! This group of moms encourages me, keeps me grounded and reminds me that even if I am further along on my journey of motherhood, I still have a village of mom friends to do life with! So on that note: if you are a new mom or young mom who will is looking for a place to connect with other young moms, feel free to send me a DM! We would love for you to join us!

Found some more Ruby glass for those collectors out there! Just in time for the upcoming holiday season.

So many things I am digging in this photo!! Let’s start with the mid century Mod dresser painted in stark Coal Black which highlights those gold handle plates perfectly! And check out those bras tipped feet, yup original! The vintage hat, if only I were stylish enough to pull it off! The floor lamp with exposed Edison bulbs! Both work I just burnt one bulb in transit so need to snag another. The plants, well ya’ll know I love me some plants! @russellflowers always has a great selection for me to pick from and plopped into these hand welded brass vessels from @farmerssonco =stunning! Then we have the super simple gold metal orbs hand made by a husband and wife in Winnipeg @velysedesigns . And last but not least, those single line art drawings by @josiej_art_photography26 in gold frames. love it all!
