Attempted Hot Chocolate Bombs last night. The kids loved them but holy moly were they a mess. I had a cute video of the boys doing theirs but I accidentally deleted it! Oh well, next time!

Happy Monday Everyone! Bit of a longer post, so bear with me. As some of you know, mid 2019 I was referred to a endocrinologist as I had been feeling off for some time.. I had heavy brain fog, forgetfulness, stomach issues, extreme fatigue, my migraines were getting bad, along with a lot of other things. I tried chalking things up to mom brain, two kids, working full time, poor diet, etc, etc. Well after a bunch of blood tests, ultrasounds, biopsies and scopes later, by t...he end of 2019 I was diagnosed with PCOS and celiacs disease. Well, I ate a bunch of bread, and did my 2019 Christmas baking and then as of New Years Day 2020, I’ve been gluten free (except for accidents) and I’ve lost a lot of motivation to do any baking or cake decorating. I felt like my passion had died. I’ve definitely been in a mourning stage. It’s a huge change to give up gluten. It’s in everything. And it affects how you plan your social life, your hobbies, etc. I can’t have my favourite Starbucks drink anymore or go to my favourite restaurant, things like BBQs and the fair aren’t as exciting, and I need to come up with substitutions for a lot of familiar favourites and what not. And cross contamination is a whole other ball game that no one prepares you for. Any who, besides coming up with quarantine crafts and designing a new logo for my moms and tots group, JavaTot’s, and a few muffin attempts, I haven’t done too much of anything creatively. I think I’m finally starting to feel like maybe trying some baking/decorating in the near future.. Until then, here are a few snapshots of what I’ve been up to, and hopefully I’ll have stuff to post in the near future! With love, Abbey

I made up a small batch of body sugar scrubs! I don’t think I’ll be making very many this year so I’m posting on here first. Sizes are 8oz for $7 and 4oz for $4.
