CLIENT LOVE// Delivering during a pandemic was never my idea when my husband and I got pregnant. We were blessed to find Brenna and have her help us through our journey! Of course with Covid, things were a little different than normal, I was only allowed one support person and that made things tough! Brenna took the challenge like a champion. She created a guide book for my husband (it was dummy proof thank goodness!), she was there with any questions and I think I’m having... contractions. When it came time to deliver she was still available to me and still checked up on me! I know that if I have questions or need anything that I can ask her for anything, with a timely and positive reply/help. BREASTFEEDING COUNSELLING// I had such a great morning helping sweet baby Aela and her mama! Mama called me after a few appointments with an unaffiliated consultant through our healthcare system, it just wasn’t making sense and she told me she was having trouble getting baby latched. I went over and within an hour we had mama and baby breastfeeding like they had never had any issues! It turned out that baby actually had a superb latch, mama wasn’t given enough information to ...know that 30-40mins per breast was her timeframe for nursing and we found a position that worked for both of them! We got her pump fitting proper and went over pumping, we went over milk storage and we talked about how breastfeeding is about supply and demand and went over some ways to boost her milk supply on top of breastfeeding every feed! I got to watch and chat with her about all things baby’s and breastfeeding as she nursed her sweet baby! I left our appointment with the biggest smile on my face, before I left I could see her confidence had been boosted and she now understood and had the confidence to do it on her own!
