Who knew that Prince Albert was the Toffifee capital of the world? Selling 25,000 boxes in 2019, with a goal to sell even more boxes this year, the Canadian Tire in Prince Albert has sold the most Toffifee than any other store in the world. With a dollar from each sale going to the Rose Garden Hospice, this is a great treat for a really great cause.... https://panow.com//p-a-canadian-tire-the-highest-selling-/

The development of small modular reactors in Saskatchewan provides an exciting opportunity for our province. Our government is committed to exploring the development of SMRs to create new economic opportunities, reduce emissions and provide stable base load power.

Laura Alexander, a nurse from Melfort fashioned the word HOPE out of blue Christmas lights at her hospital. She captured the meaning of Christmas perfectly, and raised the spirit of her community. Thank you, Laura and all health care workers for the work you do each and every day.... https://www.ckom.com//melfort-nurse-starts-hope-movement-/

Phase 1 of Saskatchewan's Vaccine Delivery Plan is set to begin next week. This phase focuses on immunizing priority populations including health care workers, staff and residents of long-term care facilities, those in the 80 plus range and residents over 50 in northern and remote areas. This is not the end of the pandemic, but it will be a turning point in our fight against COVID-19.

I am pleased to hear the Moderna vaccine has been approved in Canada. We should begin receiving our first doses in Saskatchewan next week. Unlike the Pfizer vaccine, the Moderna vaccine does not require the extreme low temperatures for storage. This will allow for easier transportation, accessibility and delivery across our province. Our first priority for the Moderna vaccines will be far north and long-term care facilities, according to our sequencing plan. We still have a ...long way to go but today’s announcement gets us one step closer to the finish line. Until then, keep following all the public health orders and guidelines to keep yourself and those around you safe. https://www.nationalnewswatch.com//health-canada-authori/

Over the past number of months VIDO-InterVac has been hard at work developing a COVID-19 vaccine. They are now in the final stages before the vaccine will go to human clinical trials. Once again, I’d like to thank VIDO-InterVac for all they’ve done to help combat this virus.

Today’s record new case numbers are very concerning. Our seven-day average for new cases is now 203, which is the highest it has ever been. While it’s too soon for the new measures implemented last week to have made an impact, we are continuing to evaluate the situation closely and will consider further measures. Our government is working closely with Dr. Shahab and public health officials and will have more to say early next week. For now, let’s all do our part to keep ourse...lves and those around us safe. Reduce your number of contacts and your activity outside the home. If you do go out, wear a mask, which is now required in all indoor public places everywhere in Saskatchewan. Physically distance, wash your hands often, stay home when you can. We can keep ourselves and those around us safe and reduce the spread of COVID-19 by taking these steps. See more

Its Innovation Week in Saskatchewan. Innovation and technology are major economic drivers that increase productivity and exports in industries, such as forestry, manufacturing and agriculture. This is a great opportunity to learn about the incredible innovation happening right here in our province.

With the introduction of federal legislation to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, we expect the federal government to not only make the necessary investments but also respect the province’s constitutional responsibility for regulation of associated sectors. Saskatchewan’s energy, agricultural, mining and manufacturing companies are world leaders in reducing emissions and reaching net-zero, and have innovative solutions to help reach this target.

The federal government recently announced they'll be increasing the carbon tax to $50 a tonne in 2022 and $170 a tonne by 2030. This won’t reduce emissions, but it will reduce jobs, economic opportunity, and the bottom line of farmers across Saskatchewan.

Sadly, we are reporting two more COVID-related deaths today - one person in their 20s and another in their 80s, both from the north central region. Our deepest condolences to the families and friends of these two individuals. Covid-19 is a dangerous and sometimes deadly disease that is spreading in every part of Saskatchewan. Assume it is in your community. So let’s all redouble our efforts to keep each other safe by:... Physically distancing Wearing a mask in public places Washing our hands often Reducing our number of contacts New restrictions and guidelines come into effect at midnight tonight. Masks will be mandatory in indoor public places in more communities representing about two-thirds of Saskatchewan’s population. Liquor sales in bars and restaurants must end at 10pm and gyms must provide more space for fitness classes. In consultation with public health officials, further measures are being considered. We must all step up our efforts to keep one another safe. Thanks Saskatchewan.

As Innovation Week continues, there is no better time to recognize the exciting work being done in our Tech sector. Our government has worked to create conditions that have helped Saskatchewan's tech sector thrive over the last decade, and we're just getting started.
